Parul University students were excited on February 17, 2024 as Sakshamthad Foundation and HelpAge India has organized CSR conventions participated by Industry professionals, students, and representatives from various CSR Firms, NGOs & Social Work Foundations. The aim for CSR Convention & Best Practices at Parul University in CSR Awards was to collaborate and to support, directly or indirectly. The initiative of the participating organizations or institutions is to promote good practices in CSR. To establish a database of credible implementing outfits with whom the corporate entities as well as the donor organizations can collaborate and work. Along with this, a core committee for the Vadodara CSR Forum to be formed was also kept in mind while initiating this convention.

The day began with the inauguration of Sahiyar Gram Hatt - 4. The Keynote Speakers of the CSR Convention, Mr. Kanchan Sen, Country Head, HelpAge India, Dr. Gajanand Dange ji, President, YOJAK, Mr. Utsav Parmar, Deputy Director, Doordarshan, & Mr. Vasant Gadhvi (Retd. IAS), Executive Director, Adani Foundation, along with Parul University’s Vice President, Dr. Geetika Madan Patel, inaugurated the exhibition cum sale of the products made by rural women across Vadodara.

The CSR Convention has expert sessions, thought-provoking panel discussions, and conversations that includes responsibilities in various aspects of corporate social responsibility. Our Keynote Speakers shared their expertise on sustainability, social impact, and ethical practices. They also highlighted the importance of aligning business goals with positive societal outcomes. Participants had the opportunity to learn about innovative CSR strategies and initiatives implemented by leading corporations, inspiring them to think creatively and make a difference in their communities.

One of the most powerful aspects of the convention was the award ceremony for the individuals and communities who have positively affected the CSR industry. Their heartwarming tales served as a reminder of the tangible benefits that corporate social responsibility can bring to people's lives. The 11 organizatios were choses for the award categories with their winners include Bharat Parenterals (Education For All Champion Award), Deepak Foundation (Rural Development Excellence Award), United Way of Baroda (Outstanding Health Care Initiative Award), Sevatirth (Diversity And Inclusion Excellence Award), Apollo Tyres Foundation (Women Empowerment Visionary Award), Desai Foundation (Economic Empowerment Excellence Award), Vatsalya Foundation (Skill Development Excellence Award), Aruna Kishor Foundation (Pinnacle Of Excellence Award), Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Limited (GHCL) (Disaster Response Excellence Award), Friends of Tribal Society (Pinnacle Of Excellence Award), ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Ltd. India Ltd.(Pinnacle Of Excellence Award).

The CSR Convention and Best Practices in CSR Awards at Parul University were a testament to the transformative potential of corporate social responsibility. The CSR convention was led by Vice President, Quality, Research & Health Sciences, Dr. Geetika Madan Patel at Parul University. and was well coordinated by Dr. M.N. Parmar, Dean, Faculty of Social Work, Parul University, & Mr. Vinod Parmar, Head, Sakshamthad Foundation, Parul University.
