Parul Institute of Medical Sciences and Research has been named among the top 5 national task forces on "Developing a High-Quality Patient Centric Integrated Model for Emergency Care Systems in selected districts of India". The institute has been ranked in alignment with the State and National objectives for furthering medical excellence and improving quality measures. In the health and welfare of communities, they are constantly making a significant amount of contributions by advancing their efforts in medical science research. The project has also bagged a funding grant of INR 4.7 Crores from the Indian Council for Medical Research ICMR. Parul University is the only institution to be a part of this high-priority national task force project in the western area.

ICMR has also funded the INDIA-EMS project which is implementation research that takes the initiative to improve the conditions of the emergency medical system in India. The project aims to revolutionize Global healthcare by setting an effective benchmark that can be achieved. This project includes dealing with emergency conditions like MI, Trauma, Stroke, Snake Bite, Burns, poisoning, neonatal and maternal care. The project has been implemented in various districts of India like Ludhiana, Vidisha, Puri, Punducherry, and Vadodara.

This project aims to implement better inventions that reduce the time force at the time of a medical emergency. However, India will set a benchmark in medicine, as this project will bring all the healthcare professionals and hospitals together including state officials in one place. Parul University has put together a multidisciplinary team of investigators that includes Dr. Shreyas Patel as Principal Investigator, Dr. Hemantkumar Patadia, as Joint Principal investigator, and co-investigators including Dr A K Saxena, Dr. Amit P. Ganatra, Dr. Shaily Surti, Asst Prof Prachi Patel and Asst Prof Ankita Priyadarshini. Additionally as part of this team of research experts as co-investigators and state officials are Dr Minaxi Chauhan (CDHO, Vadodara) and Dr Prakash K Suthar (Nodal officer - NCD division, Govt of Gujarat).
