Selection process for admission to KU are based on the following criteria:

M.Sc. Biotechnology and the MA in Mass Communication & Journalism - Students must take the entrance exam twice. The results of both exams will be merged to determine the final selection.

MBA, MFC, and IMBA Programs: For admission to MBA, MFC, and IMBA courses, candidates must appear in CAT/MAT/UGAT examinations. Qualified students must submit their scorecards when admission notifications are issued. The final selection to the above courses is based on group discussion, interview, and the most recent MAT/CAT score.

BBA MBA (5-year IMBA) - Admissions to the 5-year IMBA course in BBA MBA are selected based on the applicant's latest UGAT score, performance on the entrance exam, group discussion, and viva.

B.Tech - Must pass 10 + 2 qualifying exam and an AIEEE score. AIEEE score carries 60% weightage, while the qualifying examination's merit carries 40% weightage.

Other Conditions: Candidates may simultaneously study in one part-time (morning/evening) certificate course and a full-time postgraduate programme.
For the M.P.Ed program, students who pass the physical efficiency test are eligible to appear in the entrance exam, except for in-service candidates.
