My Experience as a College Student!
Likes
- The first thing about the college that attract me is the beautiful campus with lush green tress and carpet grasses and flowers of different varieties. I have dreamt to be a student of the most prestigious college in town. However after attending the college, my perspective on the college have changed completely.
- The teachers are friendly and approachable and very kind. The classrooms are equipped with wall fans and a tv screen and the classrooms were huge, I don't feel suffocated in the classroom and its a good thing👍🏻. The college have a computer class, Library, and laboratory for all science departments and geography. The hallways are not dark at all and infact very refreshing. And most importantly, my favourite place is the college cafeteria 😉.
Dislikes
- Well, honestly there was nothing much I dislike about the college but.....one thing i dislike is the road to college. Its very dusty and there are holes in the road. Its very difficult to go to college during monsoon.
- I also dislike the attitudes of aome of the staffs. They are not approachable and not friendly.
Remarks :
The admission forms are available on the college counter. We can get the admission forms by paying a certain fee. There was no entrance exams or test for admission, however an interview was conducted after we finish submitting our admission forms. The interview was intimidating and was also a good way for the faculty to get to know each other with the students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Selecting a course was difficult, its basically us deciding our own future career ao I had a tough rime deciding what course I want to take. I finally choose to take sociology because of its vast scope and many career options. The teachers are all experienced and all had a master's degree and some even had a doctorate degree in sociology so I believe I'm in good hands. Classes are regular and the teachers share the screens on the smart TV which really helps in understanding the topics covered. On our 1st semester, we had two exams namely- Pre-end exam and Final Exam. Besides these two exams, tests are conducted regularly after the completion of every units.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I haven't opted for any internship as it is only my 2nd year in college and I want to focus on my studies. Some of the projects I have come across are for a tutor. The tutoring lessons did not affect the class as it will be conducted on saturday only.
Placement Experience :
The college provide a great opportunity for students to take up different non-educational courses and also have a value added course subject. CEO and other influential people have come to the college to provide a training course in tailoring, beautician, electrician, agricultural field, etc. This has helped the students to develop a skill during their undergraduate years which would later on help them greatly in earning their livelihood. Besides the skill trainings, other courses like computer course, web designing, language course are introduced in the college. The students are also offered a teaching experience for tutoring highschool students every saturday.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are paid by 4 installments for a year. The 1st installment range from 6000-7000 the arts student's fee was a little bit less than the science students and those with practicals. Other fees like examination fee, Library membership fee and computer couse fee were also taken. And scholarship application fee was also taken. The scholarship was about 15000 for undergraduates.
Campus Life :
The college also have many events, functions and seminars. inter-semester competitions like basketball, futsal, and other games are also conducted from time to time. Independence day, Republic Day and Teacher's Day are the common events that took place in the college yearly. On April, the first inter-college cultural event was conducted at the college campus. Students from different college came and participated in the competition. Competition on folk dance, folk song, skit, and fashion parade. Books for every department and for every semester are available on the library and can be borowwed. The most prominent student run activity is the Annual Magazine.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I opted for Masters in Botany as I wanted to study the biodiversity of plants in Manipur in areas where there are of little records. Additional advantage as Manipur University is in Manipur itself where i want to do my research on.

At a Glance at National sports university
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement is you have to be pass in all semester and all subjects. NSU has placement portal on their website and they have whatsapp groups in which they continue posting relevent new jobs accros globe. After my deggre i got job in Education department (Sports branch ) , govt of NcT Delhi as assistant coach.

Course Curriculum Overview :
Yes, DMU give so many Faculties like swimming pool, library, sport park, atm, fastfood,etc. And inside the college, you'll fell like staying with nature. I mean there are so many side garden. It make more peaceful for the aspirants students. And for my Course, there'll be two practical room with AC and many more facilities.
First year Experience at IIIT Senapati, Manipur
Placement Experience :
Talking about internships this year students has gone to IIT Madras, ISRO for internships and transfer or course exchange. Placement is fine for a establishing IIIT and considering the location, still Delloitte, Nvidia, etc companies come for interviews and median package is in between 15 to 20 lakhs.
About my college life
Placement Experience :
For now, to get intership students have to pass there final year University exam . But for our batch NEXT exam will be there and we have to crack it for getting our internship. Percentage of internship is good .
RIMS IMPHAL
Placement Experience :
We get placement in our own college. After completing internship we get junior residency in our college. It can be of 6 months or a year it depends on what you choose. After that you may give pg entrance and enter. After post graduation there is mandatory senior residency.
It is overall good.

There is many placement provided by the university. In 2year we are eligible for placement. It is around 5lack per year. At the 85 percent we are getting placement. My plan after b. Tech is to work in bollywood.
I like my college very much. It is very coordinate with us.

I chose this course because i like to study science . There are so many students . Teaching method are very good to student. They have done online class also. There are 6 semesters. In 1 year , there are 2 semesters exam . It is not difficult to pass the exam if we study very hard.
