- The college staff are really supportive and keen to solve any issues the students are facing
- The faculty always look forward towards the students wellbeing and betterment
- The faculty are well experienced most of them having 30+ years of experience in their respective fields
- This specific course has been in the college for 58 years soo they are well aware on the teaching methods and requirements
Dislikes
- As the college staff are really old some of them tend to stick to the old method of teaching which at most times are boring
- The infrastructure is really old and outdated classrooms means they cannot use the new methods of teaching
- The classrooms are not equipped with any type of smartboard or anything and all there is there is a projector and a chalk board
Remarks :
The reason I took up this college is because compared to other colleges who were offering this course .... Nehru College was the most experienced among them and had more passing percentage which is crucial in deciding which college to choose for this course The good aspects are that the faculty are very supportive towards the student and always try to do things that will benefit them. And the are very keen to help with any student problems right away The proffersers of the college are very professional and all of them have a lot of experience under their belt The downside to that is as most of them where ex-airforce technicians some of them tend to stick to the old method of teaching which most of the time would be boring And the infrastructure in the college and classroom is pretty old as well but all the equipment and brand new and updated
Course Curriculum Overview :
The reason I choose this course is because this course has a lot of opportunities currently in the aviation industry and there is a lot of requirements for AME'S 85% of the faculty are ex-airforce technicians with more that 30 years of service soo I would say they are very well experienced and have a lot of knowledge to share but that means that as some of them are really old they tend to sometimes stick to the old way of teaching and which at most time get really boring But the big plus is that only half of the day is theory oriented clas and the other half are fully hands on practical oriented classes which makes the classes less boring The term exams are quite difficult as the required passing mark is 75% and makes it quite difficult but most of them still do manage to pass The term exams takes place every semester
Internships Opportunities :
There are no such internship opportunities in the college because the college gives out only direct placements which is the most convenient for most students As this allows them to start earning as soon as they pass out from the college
Placement Experience :
There are no such eligibility criteria for placements the basic is you should have passed atleast one or 2 modules Most of the recruiters are Air India, Airworks, GMR aviation, Indigo, Airforce,etc.. As you would receive a placement right after college you cannot be expecting to receive high salary for the first 2 years as you are basically a fresher with no experience what so ever soo in average you can only expect 20k rupees or such which would exponentially increase as soon as you start gaining experience 98% of students here receive placements here After getting placed my plan is to recieve the 2 years of mandatory experience and then shift myself to an abroad country
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fees yearly at the college is 1,80,000 Rupees which should be paid semester wise which is 90,000 rupees per semester On top of that the admission fees,uniform fees , book fees, other fees all total up to 23,000 rupees which should be paid wile taking admission The scholarship in the college is merit wise which means the fees for each semester will be reduced depending on how much the percentage the student scored in their 12th STD final exam For example if you scored between 75-80% you would receive a reduction of 7,500 rupees from you semester fees
Campus Life :
For this course in particular there are not much of extra curricular activities conducted for us the reason being there are a lot of portions to cover and a loads of examinations to pass soo u barely have time to kinda participate for all shc activities But the college do try their best to have some kind of curricular activities as much as they can The college has a soo called smart library which are well equipped and updated The classrooms are really outdated there are no such smart board or anything ther is a projector and chalk board Sports activities happen every year annualy but the college itself does not have its own ground at all There are no social groups in the college other than the usual media club , army training club,etc ..
Hostel Facilities :
The facilities in the hostel are bare minimum as per room there are 3 bunk beds which accomadates 6 students in total and there are 3 cupboards and a study table There are no such Air conditioning unit or anything but it's not necessary as most of the year the climate is pretty good The food is not really good especially if you are from outside the Tamil Nadu State as most of the students are not used to the Tamil Nadu culture The registration process is fairly simple and per year it costs 85k Rupees The issue is that the hostel is really strict soo going out of the premises of the college is a real challenge as for whatever reason if you want to go out u have to write a outpass letter which should be signed by the chief warden, the Hod and the class teacher which at most time are really inconvenient at all times

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.
ITS VALUE FOR MONEY
Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
