- Campus is good. HBTU has two campus (east and west). Gym,canteens and cafeteria are good. There are almost every facility in gym. Professors and seniors are humble. They are always ready for your help. One of my seniors in hostel told me that I can ask doubts even when its 3:00 am
Dislikes
- Hostel is 5km apart from main campus. We have to travel a lot. Mess has less plates and students in hostel are above 170. We have to wait sometimes for plates to get dinner. Library is has less sitting place... They should do something for this....
Remarks :
It is one of the oldest and prestigious college of India. Sir hercourt Butler was founder of this UNIVERSITY. It was called hbti before 2016.later It was given the title of University. Hbtu is in top 10 government engineering college of India as per iirf ranking. India Today has given it #23 rank in its ranking system of engineering colleges of India
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties here are very good and supportive. They have provided their personal phone numbers to freshers as whenever they face any problem in campus, they can contact. As I have just started here, I can not say much about faculties.this is what I came to know in our induction programme of 10-15 days. Faculty to student ratio is good.
Internships Opportunities :
I am in 1st year and got admission this year so I can not get internship right now. But yes students of 3rd year get internship opportunities by college however many students grab off campus opportunities in the 2nd year too.
Placement Experience :
Placement of Harcourt Butler Technical University-Kanpur (HBTU) is fine and if you are a little bit serious on your academics and have joined any active club of the college, the placement and job opportunities for you are up to the mark. Generally every eligible student of our college gets placed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee for btech is 1,35,000 rs. per year and if you want hostel it has very affordable charge of rs.60-63k per year. Scholarship is available for every type of candidate. UP govt. provides scholarship of amount 55-60k per year for general.
Campus Life :
Infrastructure is quite old but good to explore and enjoy your college life of 4 years. You will get a lot of clubs and sub councils to join in second year of the Btech programme. Autorob, photography,canvas etc,etc are some of famous clubs of hercourt Butler Technical University-Kanpur. Don't think much about college and facilities. You will get plenty of opportunities to do whatever you want.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
