Remarks :
For getting admission in any affordable medical College be it national level or state level one needs to clear the NEET UG exam with good ranks. This exam can be given by student for have appeared/passed class 12th exams. Competition for this exam is increasing year by year and the cut off is also sky rocketing. After clearing the exam As per your rank u will be alloted a college through online counselling. I had started to prepare for the exam with class 11th itself and cleared the exam in very first attempt. I opted IMS BHU first of all because Of its fees being 1/5th of what it is in my state Maharashtra. BHU being a central university is itself a good reason NIRF ranking for BHU amongst all colleges of India is on 7th position I feel proud to be a student of BHU Specifically talking about IMS It has good patient load which is required for good learning The faculty here is very dedicated And the instruments and labs are very well maintained.
Course Curriculum Overview :
MBBS involves study of 19 subjects throughout 5.5 years along with internship Doctor being a noble profession requires no justification as why one dreams to be a doctor Faculty in IMS BHU are very intelligent, experienced and smart For the clinical subjects we have post graduate doctors as our proffesors who have treated thousands of patients with their knowledge and we get to learn by them Non clinical subjects teachers are equally competent as every one here is a research scholar contributing by far large to the society Teaching in medical profession is very dynamic not just bookish knowledge but we actually get in the field and get our hands on the knowledge be it hospitals or villages or even our own self. We have 3 monthly exams known as terminals and then a final exams for every year known as the Proffesional exam it includes theory as well as practical examination. Difficulty level is moderate to high Attendance is very crucial to appear for the exam
Internships Opportunities :
As a intern in SSH u need to assist the senior doctors and the juniors residents in treating the patients It is compulsory and part of the course with monthly stipend of 25000-30000 which is one of the best in the country Because IMS being a central institute
Placement Experience :
In MBBS after 4.5 years you have to join as an intern in the Affiliated hospital on IMS that is Sir sunderlal hospital BHU, All the 100 have to complete their internship in order to get the degree Your earnings during internship would be around 25-30k After graduation people usually appear for NEET PG that is another tough exam after clearing which u do you post graduation with salary of 1.5-3lakhs per month or else after your graduation join as a medical officer in an hospital with earnings upto 80k/month
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College fees is same for each and every category student with minors variations throughout the course 1st year Rs 33464/- 2nd year Rs 27899/- 3rd year Rs 27899/- 4th year Rs 27899/- 5th year Rs 9899/- Distribution for first year: Management and development fees around 15000 Hostel fees yearly 550 Maintenance fees 8000 And other miscellaneous There is no confession for college fees but students with scholarships have these mess food charges deducted MBBS is affordable atleast in my institute But in private college or other state medical colleges fees is even more
Campus Life :
Elixir is the yearly medical fest that is held in month of October evey year. Various other faculty of BHU also organise events in which any BHU student can attend the event We have our own library of medical college with all the books and AC We also have central library common for all the faculties and a cyber library. Throughout the campus within the faculties you get free wifi as a registered BHU student Classrooms have AC we smart boards and projecter and well furnished. Various sports event also occur through out the year be it a part for the fest or a seprate event like E-nergy, RPL,etc Large BHU campus have many ground dedicated to each hostel Various clubs are run by students like IMS quiz club, BHU Yoga club, sports association, hare krishna mandali, etc
Hostel Facilities :
As your admission is confirmed in IMS you will be alloted a hostel room the same day. Hostel fees including light and water bill is 550/year. Mess charges are separately taken with 4000-4500/month on average. First year students get a double sharing room, very affordable Mess food quality is like any other mess in the world, SURVIVALBE. but in BHU u can have food in any hostel if u have ID card the the money

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
