- The lush green campus and immense flora and fauna are the most attractive part of MCC. Chirping bird, deers and peacocks roaming here and there are so pleasant. Sitting inside a Scottish 100+ years old building amidst the beautiful campus is so peaceful.
Dislikes
- Taking about dislikes, the hall system itself can be hectic for people especially introverts. halls are quite costly as well. People who only wants to concentrate on academics might find hall system really bad.
- Faculties are not at par. People would have a lot of expectations on faculties after looking at the nirf ranking and Naac Grade. Though the syllabus is based on the contemporary times and really updated, the faculties do stick on to their years old ppt and slides which are updated long back.
Remarks :
Admission at Madras Christian College is completely based on class 12 marks. The cutoff varies from department to Department. department of commerce and department of buisness administration are the two flagship departments of Madras Christian College. So the cutoff for both these departments are around 96 to 100% for general category. Christians do have preferences and reservations. I chose MCC because of its NIRF Ranking, NAAC Grade and it's 187 years of legacy. What inspired me more is the 450 acres lush green campus. Basically the campus looks like a dense forest. And the campus is easily accessible. Tambaram railway station and Tambaram busstand are just opposite to the college and it is located in the heart of Tambaram thought Tambaram is in the outskirts of Chennai, it is a developed, comfortable and convenient place for both faculties and students to come to. Department of BBA and department of commerce do get good placement opportunities in MCC with various MNCs and startups.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Department of buisness administration has one of the best course structure and that was one of the key factors for me in choosing bba. The syllabus is based on the contemporary perspective of management. And talking about teachers they do have a phd in their respective fields and the quality of teachers can be improved. There are 3 internals and one end of semester exam for each of 6 semesters.
Internships Opportunities :
Bcom and BBA has compulsory internship programs where a mentor is assigned to each student and they are guided throughout their final semester with internships and project works. Apart from that, the college provides internship at its innovation park, MCC's Boyd tandon school of business and so on with stipend.
Placement Experience :
Placement are so good at Madras Christian College. The salary package goes upto 15 lakhs. Though there are a lot of startups coming for recruitment, few MNCs like TCS, Ernst and young, Barclays, BNY Melon, Verizon, Natwest, Deloitte, Accenture, W3 Global, Ford, Goldman Sachs, Neilson IQ and so on do recruit a good number of students from MCC. Bcom And BBA get the highest packages from campus placement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are few scholarship opportunities for people who are academically strong, people who are from economically weaker sections and Christians. Odd semesters are usually around 35009 and even semesters are around 22000 to 28000. It would totally sum up to 175000
Campus Life :
Madras Christian College has one of the best campus Life in Chennai and everyone in Chennai will agree on that fact. MCC is filled with a lot of events, programs, flashmobs, celebrations, exhibitions, stalls and competitions every now and then. Infrastructure is quite old, Scottish infrastructure. We have Miller memorial Library with alomost 10 different journals, magazines and newspapers everyday. It has a vast department wise sections and several phd research papers with a calm and peaceful infrastructure. And MCC is one of the first arts and science colleges in Asia to have an innovation incubation center called MCC MRF Innovation Park sponsoring business projects and Innovations.
Hostel Facilities :
There are six halls in MCC. 3 for girls and 3 for boys. Halls are filled with various events, competitions and programs. They compete with other halls and departments. They are filled with hall spirit and they have various events taking place in their respective hall auditorium. They have DJ night, hall day, party nights and so on unlike other college hostels.

Placements are given in high reputed companies, even companies like Microsoft, IOS, intel are also collaborated with the college. And for animation they provide placement in" Toonz Animation, Techno park, Thiruvananthapuram.

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.
ITS VALUE FOR MONEY
Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
