- College faculty is very friendly and helpful they are always there to teach you and if you have a doubt you can just go to their cabin and ask for their help they will be always there saying ok.
- Campus is vast and location is relaxing far from city life beside yamuna river ,views are awesome and campus is also so peaceful and nature loving . All your essentials available,shop, market and everything.
Dislikes
- Registrar office work speed is very slow , documentation takes time
- Road outside the college is in bad condition , making chance of accidents.
Remarks :
I had completed by bachelor's in food technology from the same college, I I had found the college to be best in terms of teaching, faculty, campus life.there are some pros and cons about college but no doubt it's one of the best college. Admission process is very easy just fill the application,give the entrance test after that choose your desired subject in open councelling and you get the admission after fee payment. There is no such tension for admission,test is moderate to test your basic knowledge after that no GD/PI held only open councelling for course selection and document verification is held. Just stick to your basic knowledge.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Food technology provides knowledge about different regions of food products from start to end ,it's a growing industry. As a food technology student you get to know about the safety and precautions of food you get in market and as our eating habits changed we are mostly depend on ready to eat food packed foods then it's our responsibility to know what we are eating and what next generation is getting. Faculty is very helpful and knowledgeable. Professors are very friendly and very helpful. Exams held once a semester other than that class test , assignment, presentation and practical held to gain more knowledge and check for scope of improvement.
Internships Opportunities :
There is two ways to get an internship either you can get it by college or by self contacts. In bachelor last sem contains compulsary 4 months internship which you can go by yourself or college will send. College helps to get stipend internship. The industrial experience teach us alot what you studied in 4 years ,you can apply it in practical forms and if you are good enough company will directly offer you the job . Other than that in every sem end you get holiday you can utilise it just get a NOC from college and go for internship that enhance your experience as well as CV . I had gone to ITC limited haridwar where I worked on project called quality improvement in tedhe medhe and I learnt alot.
Placement Experience :
When you are are graduate you are eligible for job , company came for placement in campus every year. Few of them are Haldiram, jubilant,mahaan food,mother dairy,Amul , Britannia, Bhikaji and others. Highest package offer in food industry is 6 lpa and lowest package is 2.4 lpa each year 60 percent of students get job . I had also received the job in college placement at 3 lpa after my graduation but I declined to pursue futher studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Total tution fee per year is 70000 and examination fee is 7000 .At the time of admission you have to pay 1000 for application after that entrance test held after qualifying you are opt for counseling and fee payment in starting sem you have to pay amount of 44000 which consist of registration charge of 5000 and after first sem 10000 is paid as security money is second semester which is refundable.There is no fees concession,you have opportunity for fee concession if you are a sportperson or belong to poor family background. Then you get concession upto 50 percent in fee. Only government scholarship are valid there is no other scholarship opportunities.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is best life you enjoy and learn In university there is more departments ,like we are in dairy department others are forestry, biotechnology,mass com. and others. In Dairy department many functions held like freshers and farewell every year,fest held in November on the occasion of National milk day. Each department has its own library .our dairy department has its library where books related to our subject is present other than that dairy department has its own dairy which provides milk and milk products. Sports competition held in whole university in which you can compete according to your house , Athletic meet held and games like cricket, badminton, football, volleyball kabaddi basketball also held. There are also several cultural groups which you can be a part of . AIASA is one of them. Seminar held every month which can be joined by every student.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes I have opted hostel facilities currently I'm in IH hostel it is a good hostel medium size room for 2 good space well furnished bathrooms. Other than that there are 4 more hostels in college which vary in fees and facilities. Hostel registration open once a year you just have to opt for hostel and after allotment pay the hostel fee and when come to college submit documents in warden office and you will get access in hostel. Each hostel has its own mess. Food quality is average,niether so good nor so bad . Mess charge is 3500 for veg and 4000 for non veg for food 3 times a day. Hostel charge in IH is 36000 in which 5000 is hostel security deposit which is refundable and 2000 as mess security deposit.other than hostel you can get rooms or flat in pg outside the college.

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
