- Our college has quite good crowd with students coming from different cities and cultures. There is no such thing as ragging or something, all the festivals are celebrated equally as one. Also, living in hostel was the best part as we won’t get those moments anywhere else. With all those events around the year and the quality education they offer, it was a really great experience for me. I made mistakes but learnt many things from my college life which I am not going to forgot ever.
- I still remember the time we participated in a hackathon and we won. Amity hosted our names on the honor board and it was one of the best moments of my college life. Even though we had to attend college online for a whole due to lockdown, but yes experiencing college life physically was surely a wholesome experience.
Dislikes
- There is no thing as such that I dislike about Amity. It’s just that there were a few fighting incidents that ruins the image of Amity. But I think this is what you will find in every single college. It totally depends on what kind of circle you choose for and that’s how your personality will be built.
- You will find wide variety of outlets including CCD, Nirulas Dominoes and what not so yeah , it will be pretty fun for someone who loves exploring food.
Remarks :
There were a lot of factors to choose Amity, since I live in NCR, this was the most closest college that I got. Also, Amity has a good reputation for its placements and this thing was completely true. Even though the fee structure is a little expensive, but the type of opportunities Amity offers is up to the mark. Good infrastructure, Lab equipments, foreign programs are available here. For someone who wants to take admission, they have to appear for a written exam first. Those who scores more than 70% will get clearance and then appear for a small virtual interview. That’s all you need to get into Amity.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I have always been a passionate geek of coding. Following my interest and industry trends, I chose this course. Also, I have participated in multiple events and hackathons in my college span. Talking about the faculty, they have a really elegant staff with amazing qualifications and ways of teaching. They are willing to teach the topic even during their breaks. And of course, there are few exceptions too which is quite normal. There are two terms of exams we have to appear for - Minors and Majors. Minors are like mid term examinations which are conducted in the middle of the semester. While majors are ones we appear for at the end of the semesters which determines our total GPA.
Internships Opportunities :
I opted for an internship in Xebia which is a service based company in Gurgaon. We mostly get tech based roles in this branch so I was given the role of a Full stack developer for the span of 3 months over summer break. Stipend was around 15k with all the travel reimbursements. Project we were given was to create an app that can calculate the carbon footprint of all the laptops within the organization. It was a really tedious task to fetch the power parameters, but we completed it and delivered it by the end of the internship. Mostly, we did networking and made a lot of connections along side.
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement is that one should have maintained a GPA of 7.5 or above and this may vary as per the criteria of the company. Other than that, there shouldn’t be any backlogs in records. Few visited recruiters are Accenture, Havells, KPMG, Autodesk, Samsung, Amazon and many more visited Amity campus and hired many students. Highest package was around 61 LPA and lowest was around 3.5 LPA. 94% of the students were placed from the 2023 batch. My plans after getting the degree is to work for 2-3 years to get industry exposure and then apply for a MBA college. I am keen for learning business so that I can integrate technology with it.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Its around 1.75 lacs per semester and there are total 8 semesters in this course. If you are opting for Hostel, you might also have to give accommodation charges. It depends on what types of hostel rooms you are choosing. There are many scholarships that Amity offers, if you have scored more than 95 in 10+2, you will get a 100% scholarship in first year and will continue if you continue topping your class. And 50% for those who have scored more than 90. There are other sports related scholarships too that the students can apply for.
Campus Life :
Amity is famous for its fests, they happen all over the years. The two major fests that are conducted are - Amity Youth Fest and Sangathan in which they invite many celebrities and guests. Other than that, there are events happening on different festive in different blocks. Amity has a huge library with a wide variety of books which we can issue using our college ID. About sports, Amity has different clubs that take charge of adding new students in these activities every year. Sports include Shooting, Football, Cricket, Badminton are available for both boys and girls. Social groups are also present which actively recruit volunteers over the years. Also Amity has its official website Amizone where they give the students the option to choose the club they want to join.
Hostel Facilities :
You can find endless canteens and eating areas in Amity which serves different cuisines of food. Food quality is good and even the amount they charge is quite pocket friendly. For registration of Hostel, there is a seperate body in H block where the students have to visit and submit all the required documents. Fee structure are all available on the Amizone website only. Hostel might be a good options for freshers to explore college. If someone wants to rent a room or a PG, there are two spots - Balli and Raipur road where one can find many PGs and flats. Even many food outlets and local kitchens are accessible from these places so they are pretty convenient for Amity students.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
