Likes
- The campus is good and compact that is what I like more about the college.
- The classrooms are spacious and there are many opportunities for one choosing mechanical since there are many machines available here.
Dislikes
- The canteen is a bit small and it is pricey for a student to afford.
- There are no events in the college. There are 1 or 2 events per year.
Remarks :
The college has very high competition in both government quota and merit management quota. The government quota students should have a cutoff of more than 190/200. If you want CSE then you must surely have your cut-off more than 195. For the merit management the cut-off should be more than 175. Atleast you could get mechanical or civil engineering department. There weren't any tests or interviews. It was completely based on the cut-off marks.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose mechanical engineering. I don't like coding much. So I chose this. PSG have a very good mechanical department. There are many facilities and machines available. The teaching is good. Since the college turned autonomous recently it is very difficult. The semester duration is very less for our batch. I hope the upcoming batches won't face this issue. The staffs are qualified and are friendly too
Internships Opportunities :
We have to go for internship after our 4th semester and also after the 6th semester. It won't be a paid intern. But a project have to be done during the internship. There are some credits for the internship project too. You have to arrange for your internship. If you don't have any then the college helps you get one.
Placement Experience :
The placements are good. Many companies come for placements to our college. The cgpa must be maintained above 7.5 or atleast above 8 to attend all the companies. Ashok Leyland, Caterpillar, McDermott, JP Morgan, TVS etc are a few companies that visited our college. The highest package for mechanical is 13LPA which is pretty much a good package for a mechanical core company. Around 80% of the class gets placed. Remaining go for highers, or business field or prepare for competitive exams or may have arrears. My plan is to sit for placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for per year is 180000 for my batch. But the current year pays a bit more. There no donation here. In this college there is government quota and merit management quota. The government quota is based purely on the cut-off and the community. With which there are many scholarship that you can avail. For the merit management there is no donation. Instead the tuition fee is higher than government quota. The merit management is also based on the cut-off marks. Other than this we will have exam fees. There is a scholarship for women, first graduate etc. Students from 7.5% reservation in government quota have full waiver tuition fee.
Campus Life :
If you want to enjoy college life then this is not your place. This college is strict. We have uniforms. But that's not the problem. The problem is, there aren't any fest or events. We have 1 or 2 events per year. Apart from that only academics is concentrated here. There is a good library which will be open till midnight. There are many books based on your requirement. The classrooms are spacious with many fans and it is ventilated. There are many sports with an indoor stadium and an open ground, basketball court etc. There is a very good music club in our college. Other than that there are dance club, Rotaract club, NSS, NCC, eco club etc. in which you could enroll and do works. There are as many as labs you need. The campus has many trees and grass and it is compact. You needn't walk much from one department to another.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality is good and the menu is not that bad. But the problem is after a month you get bored of the menu. The fee for the hostel is 120000 per year. The room is good. There are 4 and 6 sharing rooms with separate cupboards, table and chair. There is a study room in every floor. Common restrooms are found on either side of the floor. There is a gym inside. We also have a vending machine. The hostel is located not so far from the campus. It is just a 5-8 mins walk. The girls hostel is a bit strict. Girls aren't allowed to leave the hostel after 6:30 in the evening. You must order food within 8:30pm after which the gates will be closed. The registration could be done by visiting the hostel directly and they will tell the details about it.

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The faculty of this college is good there are strick and the curriculum are good and every one in the college will face 2 test before the main exam internal test one and internal test 2 are the two test and practical will be taken place a side

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
