Remarks :
I got admission in REC via TNEA counseling conducted by Anna University.My cutoff was 187 and I got seat in this college in the first round of the counseling.For management quota there wont be any entrance test but the student should have atleast 60 percentage of marks in board exams.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Since it is an affiliated college, the students are made to irrelevant subjects to the department chosen such as EVS, Indian constitution, Tamil ,etc. Which makes it difficult for the students to concentrate on the credit subjects. The faculties in Rec are just average and they expect you to know about things which even they don't know. Chagpt will prepare questions papers for both internal and external exams which we students find it difficult to attend as we just have the average knowledge of the subjects our faculties provided. The questions are so challenging which increases the stress levels and anxieties of the students. Lecture notes won't be provided on time to prepare and as there are no books provided for the students it makes it hard for the students to prepare for the exams.
Placement Experience :
Placement in REC is good and it guarantees placement for 80 percentage students even during recession.But the placement package fell rapidly and the management is trying their best to improve it. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for attending placements is 7.5 Cgpa with no arrears in hand. Placement training is great here at REC. The management takes plenty of steps to improve the skill sets of the students including both the technical and soft skills.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Total fees including Tution fees,bus fees,lab fees and other compulsory charges for the students who joined through counseling is 165000. For management quota it is 215000 including donation fees based on each department(For CSE 8lakhs)
Campus Life :
Infrastructure of the campus is average.Some classrooms are bad that has damaged fans which causes ventilation problem for the students.Imagine sitting in a classroom with 60+ fellow students without the fan running.Labs and canteens are also very bad. Very few classrooms only have smart boards. Best thing about Rec is its cultural event Recharge which happens every year on the month of March which is one of the best cultural events in and around Chennai. Rec has so many technical and non technical clubs but you have to stay back after the classes to involve in club activities as getting OD is hard in Rec.Rec management encourages extra curricular activities like Sports,NCC,Music,Dance,etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Worst thing about Rec is its hostel infrastructure and hostel rules. Hostel students are not allowed to leave the campus unless or otherwise they got gatepass which has to be signed by HODs. Hostel students are not allowed to take even a sick leave when they are in the campus. Hostel Mess food is so bad. Only once in week they are allowed to order food online and they are allowed to go out only on Sundays.

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The faculty of this college is good there are strick and the curriculum are good and every one in the college will face 2 test before the main exam internal test one and internal test 2 are the two test and practical will be taken place a side

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college

College providers many placement to the students if you know arrears we should we have eligible to the placement and highest packages 21 lakh per annum and the average packages 9.5 lakhs per annum the minimum package is 4 lakhs per annum
