Likes
- The enivornment around the Campus is good and infrastructure is also well structured, faculty is very supportive and overall campus life is good.
- There are regular Competitions, Sport events and Fest Conducted by College which is also very good.
Dislikes
- There is limited access to Sports in our college as only basketball, volleyball and badminton court are available.
- Faculties are strict and are not much supportive for allowing students to take part in inter college events and competitions.
Remarks :
I chose this college as I got it in Spot Round for GGSIPU counselling on the basis of my JEE- mains exam. The counsellors mentioned this college is affiliated to IPU and is better than other private college for providing you B.Tech. Degree. My main criteria for choosing this college is to get B.Tech. specialisation in CSE branch and further research in it. The admission process is that after you get the college in any round of IPU counselling, you need to report there with all documents mentioned in the college instructions and reach the particular college before the REPORTING deadline as after that the seat will be of no value. You can easily prepare for these counselling rounds by frequently checking their specific websites for results and notices.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as I personally liked Computer Science and had interest in Circuit logics and Programming languages. The Course Curriculum is up-to-date and Teachers are well qualified with PhD and good teaching experience. Teachers are very helpful and are always ready to help if you are in any doubt. I would not tell I like the teaching method as it depends from student to student but you can understand the teaching if you listen and attend lectures correctly. There is one end sem examination and 2 mid sem exams for each sem. THe syllabus is often not completed during the mid sem exams but is completed till the end sem exams. The difficulty level of exams is moderate as a student can easily pass if he/she focuses on the subject.
Internships Opportunities :
I myself opted for skill-based interships which were unpaid. College provides time for interships but doesn't provide much help in getting interships for 1st and 2nd Year. I performed tasks such as Code corrections and PPT making in my intership and learned basics about app development.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria to be able to sit in campus interviews is that you should have CGPA above 8.0, attendance above 75% and There should be no Backlog in your whole course period. Companies that recently visited are Wipro, TCS etc. which recruited less number of students. The highest package was of 16LPA and median package is of 4.74LPA offered by these companies. 84% students were placed from all courses in the college for the precious year. My plans after getting the degree are to apply for both in-campus and off-campus placement drives and also further pursue my Masters in Technology.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Year- wise fees of the college is as follows: 1,45,000/- for First Year (out of which, 10,000 is security fees) 1,35,000/- for Second, Third and Fourth Year. All college charges are included in above fees. There is Scholarship for students from EWS(economically weaker sections) where a part of their fees (upto 50%) is refunded.
Campus Life :
There are various fests organised every year inside the college and also outside. There is a fest conducted by all JIMS branches around december- january. There is Anugoonj Fest counducted by main IPU college. Fests like dandiya night, inter college fests are conducted on a regular basis. Almost all books required by students are available in Campus Libraries(2 of them, on in Law Building on in BTech building), newspapers and journals are also available their.Students can read them their and also take issue from their. Societed like Hashtag(for coiding based events), Navras(for cultural events), FitFam(for sport events) are created and run by college students. There is a Big inter-IPU sports meet every year for every affiliated college of IPU for which students participate. Also, various inter college sports events happen on regular basis.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel food quality is average and sometimes doesn't taste good. Menu changes every semester and you can suggest changes you want according to taste and quality of food. If you face any problem due to hostel facilities, you can complain to the hostel guard and Warden. Registration of hostel is done at start of every semester and sometimes room is not available as all are booked, so you should apply for room at the earliest. The hostel fees is divided among the rooms: For normal room with common washrooms, fees is 1,10,000/- per year with 5,000 security money needed to be given one time and which will be refunded. For normal room with attaches washroom: 1,20,000/- per year. For AC room and common washroom: 1,35,000/- per year.

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
