Likes
- The availability of equipment be it small ones like welding machines or complicated ones like CNC. You can use all of them according to your need.
- The Faculty is very helpful always ready to help you out in any way .
Dislikes
- The premises might feel a little small but there is everything present on the campus that makes up for it.
- The location , because it's situated in such outskirts it does restricts some activities that you can do and the facilities that you can avail.
Remarks :
The most important factor while choosing a college back then was good placements . And if you do a fare bit of research you'll know that KIET has always been good with that , they have a good network of companies that come for campus placements and that's a plus point in it's own. Back when i got admitted into this college AKTU still conducted the UPSEE exam which was for all the colleges that come under AKTU , it was quite a simple exam , no negative marking , so apart from that there were no rounds this college just got allotted to me and i went in paid the fees.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is a bit dated but the way of teaching is interactive. I chose Mechanical because i have always been passionate about engines and automobiles . the faculty is top notch all IIT, NIT pass outs who are passionate about what they are doing and always ready to help you out. There were 2 CTs (Class Tests) one every month then there were PUE( Pre University Exams) a month before the university exams.
Internships Opportunities :
The college does provide for internships in the beginning of your final year , there is a minimum criteria that you have to do an internship for at least a month it doesn't matter if it's paid or not because there a subject that you won't be able to complete without it.
Placement Experience :
As I said the placements are the plus point of this college , they try to provide job opportunities for everyone unless you don't want a job or you have a lot of active backlogs because then you won't be able to sit for campus placements for most of the companies. The basic criteria was 60% and no backlogs for almost all the companies , there were some companies which even considered students with backlogs. Big names likes JSW, Adani, HUL ,etc. came for the campus drives.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is no relaxation for any category when it comes to the fee structure , there Fee wearer seats available in every branch but those are really limited and you have to perform really well in the entrance exams to be able to qualify for that. There is scholarship provided by the UP Government for the financially weaker section which is 54000 every year but there isn't any facility like that provided by the college.
Campus Life :
If you are a social being then you are at the right place , there are a lot of clubs in the campus covering almost every thing that you can think off, these clubs conduct there own event as well from time to time as well as prepare for the fest that takes place every year around March/April. It's a three days fest with various events and activities that is a good change . There is a sports event as well that takes place every year .
Hostel Facilities :
I didn't opt for a hostel room my friends did, i went for a PG near by. I would suggest that if you can go for the hostel and live on the campus for at least a year because as a day scholar you won't be allowed to stay back after the college hours unless you have a good enough reason and there are a lot of events that only open to the hostelers . The locality was alright , there was everything available be it transport or groceries but since the college is situated in such outskirts there are a limit to the facilities that you can expect.

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
