Great College but Bad Management

- I personally like the campus life and the extracurricular activities there are lots of time for following your Passion
- Examination are quite easy and I love semester system
- There is no 75% attendance compulsory so I can focus on developing my skills and extra curricular activities
Dislikes
- The faculty teaching style is boring and old fashioned lectures feels boring
- Management is quite lathergic and they don't make decisions on time even the schedule are not in time exam result come late
Remarks :
I was appeared for Common University Entrance Test ( CUET) & my admission was done on basis of cuet score, My score was 320 The last cut-off was 50 marks last year This year the cutoff for cuet students is 0 There is no reservation in ECC as it is a Christian minority institutions it is also autonomous affiliated college of university of allahabad and best compared to other colleges affiliated from Allahabad University. I wanted to stay in Prayagaraj and thus this is best college of Allahabad University. Although the fees is high.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choosed BCOM to further understand commerce and go into finance sector Although the college isn't providing the value in finance sector mostly focusing on marketing. Faculty is quiet cooperative classes run on time but teaching quality average teaching methodology is boring and old style. 2 professor hold a doctorate in subject while other 3 have done masters. HOD teaches accounting and statistics Curriculum followed by college is same as University of Allahabad key differences are ECC have semster system There are 2 exams in every semester 1. Tutorial ( internal exams) 25 marks 2. Semster 75 marks Exams are moderate last year 20 students failed or got back out of 150 appearing students Exams schedule is quite bad there is no uniform gap for the examinations of 2 different semesters.
Internships Opportunities :
No, but one my friend got intership in a marketing firm for 3 months and his stipend was 5000 and the work is online Role:- junior marketing manager There are few other intership provided by college government of India national intership schemes
Placement Experience :
There are no placements available for the students or provided by college. You have to rely on your own to search a job most of the students go for government job preparation or higher studies after ECC. There are many intership provided by college mostly offering 5000-10,000 stipend Mostly in marketing sectors

Campus Life :
Campus is great, there are lots of fests conducted in college but their months are not specified. Some recent fests are Poetry Literature festival Drama festival Books are available in the library but they don't have any journal's there. Some departments have great infrastructure like mine while others lack basic amenities. There are 6-8 sports available Football, Handball, Basketball, Cricket, kho kho, volleyball, There are no clubs in the college because management don't allow and if any social groups are there the involvement of management is a lot
Hostel Facilities :
There is no hostel available in Ewing Christan college students have to find their own private hostels or rooms on rent if they want . The PGs and Hostels are available near by like near Rambagh at starting rate 3000-4000 per month

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
