Good for Academics but have to sacrifice on Social life

- Good exposure to research, Highly academic environment
- Highly diverse pool of students from different backgrounds
Dislikes
- Too much crowd everywhere - from eateries to lifts. You have to get pushed around to do anything. Even the pathways are completely packed.
- Food, drainage, water systems are atrocious. Extremely large coursework leaves you with little to mo time for yourself.
Remarks :
During the time of admission, the college seemes to have excellent opportunities and exposure to the industry. There is a large number of tie ups with companies and the internship opportunities seemed very inviting. Admission process is on the basis of VITEEE exam. Exam is fairly easy compared to JEE. there is no fixed cutoff. The exam decides the fee category you will get. Preparation includes your normal JEE preparation.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The reason for choosing this course was the up and coming growth being experienced in the field. Course curriculum is very undefined and improperly structured. There is no proper order and the materials aren't great at all. Termly exams are quite hard - usually harder than IITs. There is extreme pressure during exam time. Most of the faculties are PHDs and teach okay.
Internships Opportunities :
There's a lot of companies coming for Internship and PPO offers. Companies like visa, paypal visit and offer around 30kba month as stipend. There's a lot of research internship opportunities as well. I interned externally at my own merrit with ISRO.
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placements is 7 cgpa for most companies. Different companies keep different critereas. A lot of companies like amazon google etc are visiting. However, out of 6000 applicants onky 4-5 get selected. Highest package is 40 lakh and average is around 7
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees depends on the category you get in the VITEEE entrance exam. Category 1 is 1.5 lakhs per year, with the others being 2.5,4, 5 lakhs per year. The entire tuition fee for my course furation is around 6 lakhs. There is placement fee, Security deposit of around 15000, graduation fee, alumni fee and various other types of one time fees.
Campus Life :
Social life is non existent due to the constant pressure of work. The main fests are TechnoVIT and Vibrance. TechnoVIT is the technincal fest and happens around august. Vibrance is the cultural fest and happens around april-july. There's a large number of clubs which host a lot of events regularly. Music club, dance club are all great.
Hostel Facilities :
Stayed in hostel for 1 semester. Hostel quality is extremely bad. Washrooms are very unhygienic and unclean. The mess is also very low quality - you will often find insects and bugs in the food. I'm staying in an apartment in the kelambakkam locality.

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
