- Clean and green environment of the campus is +++ point. The temperature here would always be 2° less than the outside of the boundary making it calm and peacefull from bustling side of the city.
- 2nd thing i like most about here is that faculty here continuosly tries to aware people on different topic like related to road safety, cancer awareness , girls safety, organ donation and various other things through camps, walk, seminars and competition.
Dislikes
- Managaement here is little slow.. They do their work but will take long time and give proper answer to students.
- Campus is really big and is much easier for anyone to get lost. You can always see people asking for direction inside the building.
Remarks :
College of Medical Technology is newly established college under Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences. It is now not very well known by people but gradually gaining its name in the field of paramedical sciences. One who knowns SGPGI would sure like to take this college for its well known prestige. Earlier admission process was done by SGPGI itself but now its conducted through atal vihari bajpai portal. Its minimum requirement is 50% of the total marks. Syllabus is usually based on class 12 and requies Physics , Chemistry, Biology and Maths.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Although many courses are offered in CMT, but radiotherapy courses is something special. It deals with curing and healing patients suffering from tumors and lesions and giving them painless treatment to make their life comfortable and increase thier life span. Teaching method is really good and on site explaination is also done as most of the course is related to physics. Exams were earlier conducted yearly but now it is conducted in semester exams with two internals conducted in between.
Internships Opportunities :
Doing internship in SGPGI is goal for everyone out there. The experience you gain here is invaluable. The cases you will see here might be the only case you can see. Styudying here and doing internship makes things easier as you would have a little prior knowledge about how things works and people here would always support and guide you.
Placement Experience :
No placement opportunities is offered by College but after 3 year course 1 year internship is offered (except BPT that has 6 months internship). After completion of internship chances of being selected in job after applying in other related fields increases.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees is usually paid in 2 installments per year. 1st installment=30750/- Course fees=27500/- Library fee=250/- Hostel fees=3000/- 2nd installment=33550/- course fees=27500/- library fees=250/- hostel fees=3000/- exam fees=2500/- degree fees=500/- *if hostel facilities are not taken then 3000 rs is deducted or not included in fees. _Scholarship are also provided to eligible students only.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is pretty much same as anyone would experience at their job time.. You can't expect for a concert in campus full of patients right? So no.. not that type of fest are held but yeah camps, competitions, festivals and various other things are celebrated in CMT. Sports day is one the best thing that is done.. It mainly focus that all the students are active and healthy through various competitions organized by faculty and student committee. Its mainly conducted in the month of feb-march. Library is in seprate building and is really big with variety of books on different topics and subjects and contains some really big auditoriums like shruti auditorium and C.V. Raman auditorium. Basic amenities are provided in CMT as very few common subjects classes are held. Most of the departmental subject classes are held in respectative departments which makes it easier for students to ask for department related questions.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel are provided to only those students who live outside the lucknow. Girls and boys have separate hostel. Rooms are mostly not available as there are not many rooms. Hence the students are mostly asked to wait till rooms are available. Infrastructure of hostel is good till you get the hostel that has a common washroom. It can get disastrous for some due to line up and all. Mess facility was earlier provided but was stopped due to various issue. So now students mostly take or order food from various mess available in campus according to their preferences. Most mess charges 35rs for breakfast that would include tea with paratha and 70rs for meal that would include dal rice roti and seasonal sabji with achaar and raita.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
