Decent college with a good campus Life.
Likes
- The campus location is great. You have got many good restaurants and malls at a walking distance. There are 2-3 good hospitals too, right in front of the college gate for any medical emergency. Campus Life is good too without any major restrictions ( though girls are not allowed outside after 7 pm).
- Barring one or two teachers, there is no 75% attendance criteria , so you can devote your time for self studies.
- Clubs like Fractal and Parmarth are great. If you participate in fests, then they too help you to boost your confidence and skills.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure looks old for the major portion. The new mechanical department is good but other branches need upgradation too. Labs need to be improved with better systems.
- All the events and fests are solely organised by the students body. There is very little support from the authorities and facilities.
Remarks :
You need to give the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) to be shortlisted for Counselling. If you want the CSE branch, as a general category student, you should aim above 95 percentile. If you are under 1 lakh, chances are high that you will get a seat( in lower branches).
Course Curriculum Overview :
The main reason to take this course was getting a CSE branch at 40k rank. The CSE with AI branch seemed good to have a good future. The majority faculties are PHD holders. The teaching methods are not up to the mark for every teacher. In order to get good marks, self study is the only way( reality of every college in India). The exams are of decent level. You need to be prepared if you are looking to score above 8 CGPA( important if you need the hostels, score less and you might not get a room).
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't availed any internships yet. Though few seniors got internships at Microsoft and Google. The top candidates got very good internships ranging from 1 lakhs to 1.5 lakhs. Many other students also availed internships at good stipends. The seniors guide the students to get good internships. The faculties also play a key role.
Placement Experience :
The placement scenario is good for CSE students as they generally get placed. The students from core branches often go for post graduation. Many students got offers of above 15 LPA from the CSE branch. The highest of campus offer was above 1 Cr and the highest on campus was around 50 lpa. Many students got the offer between 30-45 lpa. Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fee for CSE(AI) and CSE(SF) is 104275 per year for the first year and 99775 from second year. Rest of the branches : 89775(first year), 84775(from second year). 2 students from each branch get tution fee waiver( top 2 rankers from JEE). They only have to pay hostel and mess fee( if you stay at the hostel). Hostel fee is 14500 per year. Mess fee is 19000-20000( depending on hostel) per Semester. You have to pay extra 4000 per year for Hostel management ( only for those who are availing the hostel). Fee is same for every category. If your family income is less than 2,00,000 per annum , you can avail the UP scholarship. 63500 per year- for General 57500 per year- for OBC Around 1 lakh for SC/ST
Campus Life :
Campus Life can be very good if you have good friends. There are few parks to hang out and chill. You can play many sports in the campus ( Volleyball, basketball, Cricket, etc). Every branch conducts their fest throughout the year. The fests have sports tournament, online gaming tournaments, Treasure hunt, DJ nights, Singing and Dancing, Drama and Plays. Every activity mentioned above has a dedicated club whose job is to train students in the respective fields. The students from these clubs often go on to win events in many prestigious universities like IITs and IIMs. The most important clubs are Fractal( Coding club) and Parmarth( social club, which aims to provide education to the under-privileged kids from the slums, free of cost). Students from Fractal have cracked some of the prestigious companies' interview like Google, Microsoft,etc. In Parmarth, apart from providing education, we also provide basic stationary stuff, clothes also.
Hostel Facilities :
The mess rooms are fine. You have to register early during admission to get a room. Total cost per year is around 58k(including food, rooms,HMC fee). Its based on first come first serve basis. In the first year, you have to share a room with three others. You get three cupboards, one has to share. In second year, you have 2 roommates. Mess food is also decent, with some irregularities in between. You get 4 meals for a day( breakfast,lunch, evening snacks, dinner). The food contains every normal north indian household dishes. You get some South Indian dishes in breakfast.You get paneer twice a week. For non- vegetarians, you get eggs in the first year and then chicken from second year. For PGs, you don't need to go further, you get good and affordable rooms at a walking distance from the hostel.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
