- Campus life is very exciting at Manav Rachna. The campus is huge and there's a lot for open space with gardens, playing fields, sitting areas etc. The college is located in surajkund in between the Aravali hills so the weather is really good and windy. Also the options for eating places and hangout spots is good. There's a huge canteen at the back of the college and there's a dhaba called shibiya towards th front.
- Library is well maintained and a very calming place to go and study. It can be compared to an American library to be honest. It has a huge collection of books and the there a lot of sitting places inside to sit and study on bean bags, sofas and cushions. The timing for the library is 9am to 7pm.
Dislikes
- Faculty - some of the professors are actually very biased. They prioritize the students who butter them and who they like personally. There were many instances where I felt neglected and my doubts were unanswered by the professors. Though all teachers have a lot of knowledge about the subject they're teaching but they can definitely work on their soft skills
- The fee is quite high even for a private college. Other private colleges teaching the exact same course in 50,000-60,000 less like Amity and lingaya University. Also the course curriculum is not worth the fee they demand for the tution. Curriculum doesn't have anything unique which one can't learn from any other college
Remarks :
I choose this college only because it is at a 10 minute walking distance from my house in Faridabad. Ialso applied to Sri Venkateswara college in satya niketan and also got in the first cut off list but I did not join as the travelling woutbe 2 hours everyday and I didn't want to relocate. There are no entrance exams or assessments in manav Rachna. Only if you're applying for financitaid or scholarships. Otherwise there's a simple application form that you can fill with all your details and submit. Also they charge a application form fee that needs to be paid upfront of 1500.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculty was good and a lot of PhD professors were teaching in the college, one of them being Kapil sir who I was fond of the most. Though the curriculum content can be improved a lot. It is very outdated is completely different from the demands of the industry. They teach you C and C++ programming languages 3 semesters whereas these languages are not being used by any of the IT/tech companies nowadays. The world has shifted to python and JavaScript, but Manav Rachna has not updated their curriculum with emphasis on these. Exams used to happen once at the end of each semester and unit tests monthly. The difficulty was not that much to be honest. They were easy to pass and score good marks. All there was a supplimentary exam held if you didn't score atleast 40/100 and you had to pay 1500 per supplimentary exam to successfully complete your degree.
Internships Opportunities :
During my 7th semester I interned with a company. It was a digital marketing startup called Hiigher.com. the intership duration was 2 months and the stipend was 5000 per month. I was basically working on web development project that they assigned me and was working on the front end of their website. I improved the fonts, the background interface, suggested ideas for improving the landing page.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for sitting in placement drives at Manav Rachna is that student should not have any supplimentary exams and must have cleared all exams with minimum 50% score. The companies that have a tie up with the college are HCL, coforge private limited, Amadeus solutions, TCS etc. Each companies gives a full presentation in the auditorium on the day of the placement drive. Then there are different selection rounds held from GD's to aptitude tests to personal interviews. Most companies had 3 rounds. Most of my batchmates got placed as a trainee with probation period for 3 months. The average salary offered after the probation period was around 4.2 to 4.7 lpa. Almost all students get placed and the placement record is around 80%, but the quality of the offers and the salary packages are an issue. I also got offered a job as a technical analyst in coforge but I didn't join as I had plans to go out of India and pursue higher education.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I joined Manav Rachna University in 2014 and the person semester fee at that time was 125000. There was also a security fee to be paid to the college at the beginning of the course which was 50,000 and that shall be returned by the college at the end of the degree after 4 years. The maximum scholarships I know about that students have got is 75% percent of the tution fee, not covering any of the hostel rent fee. Also there is an entrance exam for the scholarships specifically and scholarships also offer 50% and 30% coverage of the tution fee for students are need financial aid because of some reason.
Campus Life :
The fest at Manav Rachna is the best part about the entire college to be honest. It's called resurrection and it's held in the winter months - December or January. They have a full 3 day fest filled with fun concerts from comedians like abish matthew and DJ's like nikhil chinappa. Also the organizing committee is very efficient and the management of the fest is very good. The car parking car along with the security system at the days of the fest is very well handled. As for the library it's a world class library. It's called OP bhalla main library. It has a huge collection of books from fiction to non fiction to course material books. Also the library staff is friendly and allows you to easily borrow and return books with your college ID card. There's a free wifi available for all students in the library premises. The grounds at Manav Rachna are huge and there is a football field, a Olympic size shooting range, a proper basketball court and a cricket pitch with audience seating.
Hostel Facilities :
I didn't opt for the hostel as I live 10 minutes away from the campus but I had a lot of friends in the hostel. The hostel was mostly a disappoint off students living there. It was very dirty and the cleaning staff showed up once a week. Also the food was included in the hostel rent which was 55000 a year. Food was not upto the mark and they had mostly vegetarian dishes on weekdays. Registration process for the hostel goes alongside the registration for your course. Half of the yearly hostel fee needs to be paid in advance and they will book a room for you. Also the timings for the hostel are 7am to 7pm. The students living in the hostel mostly preferred the college canteen food over the mess food.

The Career Development Centre (CDC) plays an important role in preparing students for internships and future placements. KRMU provides placement assistance through its Training and placement cell, which conducts aptitude training, mock interview, resume building sessions and skill development session to improve students employability. Student become eligible for campus placement in the final year subject meeting the criteria of the individual company. Eligible criteria include maintaining the CGPA, having limited or no active backlog, and fulfilling company specific criteria.
A Growing University with Good Facilities and Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements are decent for skilled students with eligibility usually starting in the final year . Companies like TCS , Infosys ,BHEL visit the campus . The average package is around 4-6b LPA . After completing my B-tech degree , I plan to pursue a career in software development

Aroun 6.5-8 cgpa should be maintained to avail for placement. No backlogs. Respect teachers. Fee visited recruiters were ICICI ey pwc etc highest packaging where I heard about was 56LPA and average was around 9-12LPA.

Curriculum was very much reasonable and it was very much easy to understand it also had division of management studies and computer studies which made it very much easier for me to understand the faculty was amazing and very helpful

Currently i am perusing my PhD so not applicable for me and the placements i have seen is very impression companies are good like tcs, bain, lumenci, proedge and average package offered is 12 lpa. so i hope to get a good chance for myself and get a very good placement looking forward for the beat chance
