college life at PSVPEC a detailed review with pros and cons

- the things i like about my college is the amount of effort they put into training students for in-demand real world skills, they have arranged trainers from startups and industry professionals come to our college and take classes.
- i also like the importance the college gives o=for innovative projects done by students, the college conducts events for innovative projects and also aid in participation of Hackathons.
Dislikes
- the things i dislike about my college is that there is no dedicated sports period and also the rules are unpleasantly strict, which makes me sick and feel like trapped in a jail. there is insufficient amount of events conducted every year and is only focused mostly on academics.
- one of the main things is ate about our college is that the amount of pressure the management puts on students and staff during exam times, they lack proper planning which makes it difficult for us to balance between studying and preparing for exams. also writing the record and observation for each subject is simply useless as the staffs dont even read what's written inside, and i dont feel like i get any real value by writing those. i feel like writing record and observation should make me understand the practical applications of concepts.
Remarks :
i chose this college because of the affordable fees structure admission process is smooth and there are staff to guide you through the admission there are no interviews or written tests for admission in our college
Course Curriculum Overview :
i chose this course curriculum because of my interest in electronics and also for the diverse opportunities this branch offers the faculties are mostly master degree holders and the senior staffs and assistant professors are all PHD holders. term exams are conducted once every 5 months (4 months classes, 1 month for exams), the exams are mostly medium difficulty.
Internships Opportunities :
yes, i have opted for a internship as hardware design intern at tessolve no stipend, i did a project on AES (Advanced encryption standard) This project involves the encryption and decryption of plaintext through verilog and system verilog code. it involves encryption and decryption of input plaintext using a key. The tasks given in the internship are very simple verilog coding tasks, after completing these tasks, we proceed to start the project. The internship was for 6 months from June to December 2024. Only after completing the project, the certificate will be issued.
Placement Experience :
placements and job opportunities are comparatively less, companies like Tessolve (a VLSI design company) have visited our college and in all the departments (ECE,CSE,IT) last year approximately 20 students got placed. placements here are mostly based on individual efforts, the students are given training in this area
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees per year:- for government quota- 85,000 and for management quota- 120,000, registration fees 25,000(common for government quota and management quota) tuition fees: 50,000 per year other fees: 35,000 (internal exam fees, co-curricular fees, lab fees, development fees) seperate exam fees for each semester: 6500 per semester
Campus Life :
Cultural fest is held once every year in the odd semesters. at this time of the year a few celebrities are invited as chief guests and also some youtubers are also invited, the programs consists of dance performance and instrumental performance along with some cultural folk dances followed by a full blown dance floor party with a dj. Books and journals are all readily available in the library in a very orderly manner the classrooms have steel benches, smart classrooms have power sockets in each bench, projector. sports is something which also happens only once a year, no separate sports period will ben given. Rotaract club is a social club run by our students. We conduct fun games, activities and events once every even semester, where students show off their skills and get prizes.
Hostel Facilities :
i have not opted for hostel, though i mostly hear my friends in hostel complain about the food quality being very poor, the facilities provided are mostly limited and the rooms provided are comparatively small.

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
