My life at HBTU

- The thing that I liked the most about the college was that it doesn't restrict the students to only academics but also promotes them to take part in different activities also. And want the student to succeed in every field of life and work on their passion.
- The faculty members here are very experienced and most of them are passed out from top IITs and they are expert of the subject they are teaching us. The faculty members are also very kind and have a helping nature towards the students.
Dislikes
- There are few things that I disliked about the college and one of them is the infrastructure that is quite old and out dated and the college doesn't seem to be much bothered about that they are not really taking any big step to renovate the college and they are just continuing the system that has been running since years.
- The campus area of HBTU is around 370 acres but the sad part of this is that around 75% of this area if covered in deep forest and not pretty safe to go. The college must be taking some steps to make use of this massive campus. And one more thing the roads in West Campus of HBTU are of so bad quality and they need renovation really soon.
Remarks :
HBTU always had a good reputation in not just the state of Uttar Pradesh but also all over India, Being over 100+ years old this college has a huge alumni network and many great personalities have studied here in the past. HBTU also is very famous for its chemical technology branches like Paint, Plastic, Food, Oil, and Leather making its courses very diverse. I preferred HBTU because of its alumni network and good placement records. The good aspects of HBTU are that it is one of the top government institutes of India and has good placements along with experienced faculty members and not to miss a massive campus area of around 350+ acres. The bad aspect of HBTU is that is quite old and its infrastructure is quite outdated. There are no Interviews you just need to get a good percentile in JEE Mains and a full HBTU registration form then apply for the desired course and you are ready to be a part of the HBTU family.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum of HBTU is very relaxed and the students are given plenty of time to do any side hustle or prepare for any Competitive exams, I chose this course because it is my passion, the faculty members are highly educated and most of them are Ph.D. holders from top IITs and they have excellent teaching ability. The mid-term exams are conducted almost after every 40 days. The difficulty level of exams here is moderate. The fee hike is not an issue here because the academic fees here decrease by 5% every preceding year of the college. There are many scholarships available for students provided by the Uttar Pradesh Government and also by some private organizations.
Internships Opportunities :
I have yet not opted for any internship but many of my seniors have done internships in big companies like Hero Motocorp, Reliance, Havells, IBM, Samsung, etc. The stipend offered by companies was around 15k per month to the students. The college helps the students in whatever way possible to get a good internship and placement. In HBTU currently, the scenario of internships is quite good. The projects and tasks provided by the companies are based on the logical and factual knowledge occupied by the students during their academics.
Placement Experience :
The placements at HBTU are increasing every year and every year around 80-85% of students are getting placed at HBTU. The eligibility criteria for placement are based on the CGPA of the student according to their respective branch/course. The companies that visited here are Samsung, IBM, Reliance, Adani Wilmar, Hero Motocorp, Havells, etc. The highest package past year was 36 LPA and the average package was 8 LPA respectively. Around 80-85% of the students get placed every year from HBTU. My plan after getting the degree is to work in any multinational company.
Campus Life :
Life at HBTU is very interesting most of the time the students enjoy a lot of freedom unlike any other private institute and have a big campus area and a good locality to explore. The fest of HBTU is Aarambh, Aagaz, and Technika and is organized every year around March - April month. The Library of HBTU is Ramanujan Library which is quite big and has a lot of books on different subjects and different genres for the readers. The classrooms are equipped with Air conditioners, Smart boards, and other basic amenities. HBTU promotes sports and physical activities by organizing different Sports fest and Competitions every semester in almost every sport. Callidus, Gruv, and Autorob are some of the Clubs that are run by the students themselves. The hostel is quite good and recently renovated so it is quite clean as well but the messy food quality is average like any other messy food. The hostel is quite affordable and its fee is 60k including mess per year.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.

Placements and job opportunities at Galgotias university are good. Students become eligible according to their course requirements and academic performance. Many healthcare companies and hospitals visit for placements and internships. After completing B.Sc Nursing, my plan is to work in a good hospital, gain experience and grow in the healthcare field.
