No there is no entrance test or interviews for the bsc admissions. It is totally on the merit on the basis of the 12th class scores. I chose this college because this is in my city and very close to my home. Also it is one of the reputed college in gujarat and it is a goverment college which has higher demand among students.
I chose bsc physics because obviously I wanted to pursue my career in physics and research. I love physics particularly because it is the most fundamental science. Talking about the faculty and thier reputation. Faculty here are well qualified and experienced. There are number of faculty members who are not from gujarat and thus faculty is very varied. They all are highly qualified but the teaching skills are the same as the average. No modern classrooms they sometime use projection room to teach which is almost a failure due to technical issues and all. Dont expect any unique and quality teaching here. Faculty is very helpful and supportive but few professors can take u for granted sometimes. Also it is not easy to get in line with the young professors as they are all less experienced. Exam pattern are simple and same as the other colleges. Two internal everyyear and two external or end sem everyyear. Exams are average and easy. Most of the students gets passed.
Internships are available here but dont expect they would take it seriously. Faculty here takes internships for granted. They dont guide or they dont give opportunity to the students. Only few students have got internships.
There was no placement cell after bsc here. Mostly students opt for the msc course in applied physics or pure physics after bsc. I am planning to have my msc degree from abroad because msc course here is not great as bsc.

Activities : tps membership is required (200 rs ) Telescope sighting and performing Fun activities and competetion (dancing singing treasure hunting chess carrome etc ) We have one the most famous library of vadodara in our college - hansa mehta library (h.M library) Library card fees are just 15 rupees and every book regarding the course can be found here. This is very reputated library and very functional with the best maintenace of the books and it conductance. Sports has heavily impact on my faculty and it is conducted by college itself. Every sport has thier own space and stadium with zero enrollment fees. You just need to get selected.
I have not had opted for the hostel as I m living in the same city but I have heard from the friends who were from hostel. Hostel were amazing with affordable price and good infrastructure and security. Mess was average but great as in comparison to local foods. My friends didnt find any difficulty to live in the hostels. Lil bit of strict for girls hostel. Also hostel are very close the faculties.

All the faculties in the teaching staff are well qualified and give really good guidance for the curriculum and practical knowledge for each and every subject. The faculties also encourage participation in various extra curricular activities to enhance social networking and other skills.
Curriculum is well structured. The faculty members are also very knowledgeable and helpful whenever we need guidance they are always ready to help and exams are taken may times in one sem like we have mid sem 1 and 2 and internal practical and external practical and final end semester exam.
