- I enjoyed campus Life ,with minimal restrictions,hostel may not be in nice condition but memories made will be life longed cherished by you. It is a government college, don't come with any expectations,your journey will be full of adventure and memories,it is the expectation and comparison with other college that will make you feel depressed.
- Second thing that I liked most was councils and clubs ,these are the fun part and most memories are made there,from joining as a fresher till as a final year senior it is an experience within.
Dislikes
- Rude faculty members, generally disliked by every students.
- Rude administration staff ,they will never coordinate students. From submission of scholarship form to other information on notice they were never precise.
- Poor condition of old hostels,those are not in condition of renovation,new ones should be built ,every year on receiving complaint, college administration just do renovation,and after a year condition is same.
- Class rooms are not aur conditioned, it really becomes a task to attend classes in summers.
- Poor mess food quality and hygiene, although there had been increment in mess fee ,food quality did not improved.
Remarks :
Fee structure of college was very economical for me,that was also one of the reasons. I gave AKTU entrance exam to get admission in AKTU affiliated colleges,to get admission in government colleges your rank must be under five thousand. There was no interview after online councelling college was allotted and I went for documents verification and took admission by paying fee.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is theoretically sound,it will you prepared for government AE,JE and gate exams but it does not make students industry ready, My growing interest in civil engineering made me choose this course ,this curriculum needs to be improvised and civil engineering software tools must be included in curriculum. Faculty is very qualified,they have collected bunch of certificates and research papers but if no use to the students because they have done it for their superiority and promotion,many faculty members don't even talk to students in humble way ,they are too rude and very impatient.
Placement Experience :
There is literally zero placement in core branches,you have to be doing coding in hope to get placed in TCS. Earlier some Cement companies were used to come for placements but that too for sales executive profile not for engineer profile. Generally most of the core branch students aims for gate entrance exam for further education and some starts preparing for SSC JE ,other state JE and other state AE exams,this is the only hope of employment. There is not a single comply comming for Civil Engineering job profile.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
First year fee is 62850 and from second year till final year it is 58350 per year.Every student that falls under provision of scholarship are awarded by UP government scholarship. SC/ST student do not have to pay fee in advance,they can pay after getting scholarship.For those who doesn't get any scholarship but excel in academics are awarded with scholarship by the college. There is no such provision of concession of fee but in case of an emergency or you failed to deposit fee in time ,you can simply write an application to the director,and you will be alloted hostel and mess ,and you may pay later ,we get UP scholarship around 54 to 63 thousand ,that totally depends upon government budget,but you will definitely get scholarship for sure. Mess fee is separate,and it is twenty thousand per semester.
Campus Life :
Campus Life is very memorable and enjoyable. There are many clubs and council and juniors are recruited in basis of an interview by seniors.Final year students are captain of each club and they are responsible for its functionality.They request estimate fund for certain events and after getting it from college they manage whole events.There are many cultural events taking place in college but Antaragni is most favourite and awaited fest ,which generally conducted at the end of academic year. Library doesn't have new edition of books and journals. Class rooms are not air conditioned,it becomes a task to attend classes in summers. There are many sports like football, cricket, badminton, volleyball, basketball,carrom,chess ,table tennis are available and there is also a NGO named Koshish,established by our alumni,which recruits fresher every year to provide education who cannot afford, generally poor people's children living near the bank of Gomti.
Hostel Facilities :
New hostels have nice facilities like locking almirah and tiled floors ,but old hostels doesn't have any and there is always chocking of washroom in old hostels. Food quality is poor and unhygienic, thankfully during my last year ,new contractor won the tender and his food quality was very homely and relatively hygienic, with old mess the experience was really awful. The fee of hostel is very affordable ie. ten thousand per year, hostels are alloted in the basis of CGPA ,the one with higher CGPA gets to choose his favourite hostel and room number. Registeration process of hostel includes payment of college,hostel and mess fee ,submit those slip to Dean of students welfare office along with one form and choose your room and hostel by your turn.

I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
