- Our college started in 1923 and we celebrated 100th year in 2023 as well. The college had developed over the decades.
- All the students are provided with lots of opportunities in all the fields.
Dislikes
- Most of them will say this point, Politics is one of the main negative point in the college.
- Female students are provided with more opportunities and more liberation in the college rules. For the men students there will be strict rules and regulations.
Remarks :
Our college is run by the Jesuits of Madurai, Tamilnadu. Mostly college's run by the Jesuits will be good at discipline and best academic scores. There will be a small interview with our college principal and other deans and vice principal during the admission process. There is no entrence or any kind of examination for admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Mostly all of the professor's are PhD scholors. For every semester there will be two internal assessment examinations and for each exam there will be separate assignment, quiz and seminar marks. These marks will be overall calculated to 50 marks and for the other 50 the semester examinations are there. 20 out of 50 is the minimum passing mark for the internal and for the main semester exam 40 out of 100 is the minimum passing mark.
Internships Opportunities :
Every student will have to go for 21 days to 1 month internship at companies or Laboratories regarding to their field of study this is one of the quota for the degree. This will improve the environment arround the student for a month and will improve the student for better communication skills and This is a compulsory for all the students. The UG grade students will go in the IV Semester holidays and PG grade students will go in their II Semester Holidays. After completing the internship and small viva will be conducted to the students in the upcoming semester by the staffs and other faculties and marks will be graded regardingly.
Placement Experience :
The student who have good CGPA and overall academic performance will mostly get selected in the first list of the placement and students with lower CGPA will be selected based on other skills and other course certificates occurred by the student. The top companies are TCS, Axis Bank, Hero Motors, HDFC Bank, SBI Bank. The percentage of students who have higher CGPA and best academic performance is nearly 80%.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For every odd semester there will be a fees of 7500 to 8500 regarding the upcoming events and other miscellaneous activities and for the every even semester there fee will be just 350 to 1500 maximum. Our college have morning shift and evening shift. The evening shift college students will have to pay double the amount of the morning shift students. So there is a high demand in morning shift courses. For every semester the exam fee will be 1200-1500 regarding the number of papers in that semester.
Campus Life :
The life at college campus is very good compared to other Art's and Science colleges in Tirunelveli. Every month there will be minimum of 2 grand events held in our college. The most famous event's are Sports day which is held at the beginning odd semester and the Internal Department Competition which is usually held at the end of December along with christmas celebration. Our college library has thousands of books with all the generes. There are NSS, NCC, Enviro Club, STAND, AICUF, Max Forum in our college with active student members in them from both shift 1 and shift 2 combined.
Hostel Facilities :
There are separate hostels for men and women students d there will overall 400 students who are in hostels. The boys hostel is just behind the college campus and the girls hostel is 1.5km away from the college to assure more security and there will be a separate bus for women students for the travel from hostel to College campus. The registration process will begin at the time of admission itself if any student wants to join in the hostel at the middle of the course the student must meet the Director of the Hostel and gets the admission easily. The food in the hostel is not bad there will be non veg for 2 days in a week. The Washrooms and other Bathrooms are maintained properly. There will be 24/7 CCTV Surveillance in the hostel which ensure the security of the students in them.

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
