- A bad and obsolete bus service facility for day scholars(managed by a private firm),Hectic life schedule.
Remarks :
Good aspects-Lush green campus, good quality of air, furnished smart classes and labs, hospital, shopping complex, sports complex, auditorium inside the campus, good faculties, good facilities for internships and placements. Bad aspects-Average placement package not as high as tier 1 institutions. Admission occurs through the JEE Mains rank,entertained by counselling rounds of JOSAA and CSAB.The advised score to be there in JEE Mains is more than 90 percentile.You must prepare for JEE well to get a safe score.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This course gives us a blend of both hardware and software applications in both core and IT sectors. Most of the faculties are PhD qualified from the top Institutions of the country and abroad.The teaching method is also impressive as the teachers have vast experience in their respective fields. There are 2 exams conducted every semester,the mid term exam of 20 marks and the end term exam of 50 marks,accompanied by class tests.Rest 30 marks are given on internal assessment.The difficulty of the exams are quite high as a major part of questions come from GATE pyqs.
Internships Opportunities :
Students go for internships to organisations and companies like ONGC, Indian Railways, NEEPCO, ISRO, DRDO, AAI, etc.They are with or without stipends.The role is of a trainee engineer. They perform various in house projects of which the trainees become a part.
Placement Experience :
Placement procedures start from 7th semester and various companies have their respected set of eligibilities(CGPA cut-off). Top recruiters-HPCL ,BPCL, TATA companies, Samsung, Texas Instruments, Alstom, Asianpaints, Oracle, Siemens, Phonepe, Paypal etc.Totally for all departments,more than 850 offers are made. Highest package-52lpa(Roles-GET or SDE) Average package-13lpa(Role-GET) Plans after degree is to get into core sector industries.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
An academic year consists of 2 semesters.So,the fess of one academic year comes around Rs.1.5 lakh. The tuition fess for non-category students is roughly Rs1.40 lakh,there are no admission fees,registration fees,develoment fess,lab fees is Rs.4000,miscellaneous fess come about Rs.6000 per year.For SC/ST category,the entire tuition fees get reimbursed and they have to pay somewhat Rs.6000 per year. There are various government and non-government scholarships which the students can avail.There is a dedicated scholarship section in the campus which helps students to apply and enquire for scholarships.Some scholarships like Ishan Uday scholarship and NEC merit scholarship are common.The amount depends on various scholarships.
Campus Life :
There is an annual cultural fest and an technical fest,MOKSHA and AAYAM are their names respectively.MOKSHA is conducted around february and AAYAM in march. The central library of NIT Agartala has a vast collection of both technical and non-technical books of all departments. All the classrooms have proper ventillation facilities and projectors are installed in all classrooms. The institute has a dedicated sports complex where there are facilities of both indoor and outdoor games. The institute boasts of many clubs which have distinguised achievements in various global technical events of their respective fields.Aero club,robotics club,mbaja and ebaja club,DCC and GDSC,dance club,singing club,drama club,gaming club are the most commom ones.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality is acceptable and better than many engineering colleges in India.The mess has both veg and non-veg options. The yearly hostel and mess fees come around Rs.45000(2 semesters). PGs are also available within 10kms of the campus.

Course is according to the UGC guidelines and faculties are also very well renowned and qualified they are very helpful and always keep on updating us with newer sports science concepts everyday and they also are very well sports trainer so if anyone wants to learn new and different sports apart from their specialization they can learn the other sports too

Syllabus is still based on those old curriculum like who studies engineering drawing on paper ,this needs to be improvised . Faculties are quite good especially other state faculties. Fees is quite decent,you also get fee waiver depending on your financial situation.

Students of 3 rd and final year are allowed to sit in placement and interview round. Highest package be like of cse around 58 lakh Average 12 lakh 80 percentage of student almost get placed . I will move towards tech field after getting my degree.

Placement stats of my college is also very good. It's starts from 4th year. The highest package offer here was 62 lpa last year from cse department. The average package of my college is 12lpa. More tha 85 percent of students are placed every year. Most reputed organization like tata , oracle, phonepay, nokia came in my college for placement.

As for now I am 1st year student and I literally don't have any idea about the placement thing but I asked the seniors about this thing and the answer is very negative, After completing course like B-TECH they hardly get a placement offer of 1.5 to 2 lakh peranm. Think about BCA now
