Real life at low-private college

- honestly, i don't like anything about tis college, but i do have to say i got experienced with new environment on how bad some people could be and how an environment could change you.
- i like that you don't have to do anything other than studies, cuz as a introvert, not having cultuals or fest is not a problem at all to me, it is more like very good i don't have to socialize at all. and you don't have to put too much work into this college, most teachers work hard to provide you with lots of notes and question papers, so i think it is good in that way. the faculty do work hard even though they can't teach much better.
Dislikes
- it is a single building having all the department, PE room , mess, so there is not much to say about infrastructure, the college is bad towards girls, and there are very high restriction towards girls campared to boys, my personal experience with converting from bus transport to own transport was worse, i was delayed for 3 months because i am a girl and they directly told my mother that i will runway from home or do bad things if i was given the freedom of own transport.
- the phone is prohibited while most messages are sent to us through mobiles like which class we have to go or seminar hall, not much sports are there or encouraged, students are forced to score high score (not the faculty fault) we have exam cell incharges they are worse they keep too much exams and put pressure on the faculty and also us. we don't have much shops, like one small shop and a cafe (small too) and there is timing on when to visit them you can't visit them whenever you want to.
Remarks :
cutoff mine is - 153 i think the cutoff then was 125. i didn't thing much about college before we didn't even visit the college, or did any discussion, i got into the college through anna university counseling. i regret it so much. you will be asked for lot of documents like 12th std certificate, 10th std certificate, birth certificate, TC certificate, and more all original to them, they won't give it back until last 4th year when you complete the degree
Course Curriculum Overview :
I liked the course artificial intelligence, that's why i chose, but since 3rd year started when we entered more deeper and core subjects the teachers couldn't teach any better. but there are few great teachers who do nice job but some faculty have no idea about what they are teaching. the exams are repetitive. we have atleast 3 IA exam, if anna university exam postponed, then they add 4th IA exam and a model exam. every IA exam has re exam if a person fails to get more than 60 percent or absent. start of sem we have 2 week gap, but once IA 1 starts, 1 week IA exam, the other week re exam, then after 4 days, IA 2 will start, there won't be any bigger gap between exams. the exams are not much difficult though, even teachers feel the exams are soo close and they couldn't finish portion due to exams. so they usually give our questions that might appear on exams, like important questions, so no worries.
Internships Opportunities :
i didn't do any actual internship, mostly i get rejected obviously, but i did online internship through AICTE portal but i paid for the internship like 150 - 300 for the internship, i don't think they can be considered real internship cuz they taught us only the very basic and few projects. there is no opportunities at my college, most you have to work hard outside of college and do your best. but the college gets the credit too, that is why most of our class students hide what they do outside of the college.
Placement Experience :
i think >7.0 CGPA and need to be discipline through out the year. There are recruiters like zoho and other who are not big companies. in my department, this year 4 placed students have got only 2LPA to 4LPA. one or two students goes training outside the college and get placed through that training center and get 6LPA-10LPA. the highest i have seen is 10.5LPA but in the office it was 12LPA, and minimum are like 2 LPA,the average is 4LPA, it is been said the percentage is 99% and marketed like that , but no way it could be 99%. i would say 50-70 % get placed but most others go to training outside and apply to jobs outside of college, but our college usually add them to the list of college placed students. i loved the subject AI, so i joined IIT madras online BS program separately ( no one knows at my college except my close friends) and do a M.Tech after. I am in this degree for my father, after i am planning on completely removing it form my life history.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
1. mine: Approcal guest lecture, seminar, Club Activites, IV, library - 12000 (never had guest lecture ) development fees - 5000 placement and other training fees - 10000 (we pay again whenever there is placement training for us) tuition fee -50000 ,every year breakage fee will be paid - varies depends on department, daysholar (me) - 70-100 (year to year changes) hostlers additionally pays 1000 or more (varies according to gender cuz different hostel), management fees (my friends) - 1,20,000 (just year fee without bus fee), bus fee - long distance = 43,000, short distance - 23,000 (non-AC only) There is scholarships but i do no the procedure plus i don't think the procedure is any good cuz one my friend SC should have got the scholarships but she was not informed properly and didn't get any scholarships. if you get 9.0 CPA and above - gets 10,000 during their 5th sem, >8.5&<9.0 - 5000,fees do not change as per category. it changes depending upon department.
Campus Life :
no fest, no culturals, but they might keep a competition to mimic culturals but it is much worse ( too much restriction for what girls can do) library is one big room with 4000?? books they do have new books which i don't see where they are. there is sports i do no much, i paid chess zonal levels, but we don't have much practice time or freedom to visit PE room and play games. this college is not much of sporty or supports it, and if you have low CGPA you might not be allowed to play. there is club activities, varies upon department like (study club, coding club, UI/UX club, fine arts(only in our department))- handled by teachers. they are serious or has any work. you can't take it serious at all it is just there for name sake. no social group . phones are strictly prohibited in many places of campus. like library, VP office or if you enter any higher professors office. but we still use them secreatly and some teachers don't care
Hostel Facilities :
i didn't apply for hostel. but the hostel fees is 1,20,000 this year but on first year it is 85,000 then on 2nd year 95,000. they kept increasing the fees for bus and hostel every year. according to my friends, - the wifi is limited outside the room, you won't get any wifi inside room, you phones will be confiscated for 2 hours daily to study, and girls are not allowed outing at all but boys can go outing even at 10pm. getting a outpass for hostel to go home takes you half a day to get sign from all the people.

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
