- I like campus life the most because i got to learn so many different things and I got the best opportunities to participate in various activities. Every year we had three major fests organised and after studying fot whole semester, these fests felt like mind refreshing thing. There are so many clubs and i also joined 3-4 different clubs of my interest. I love sports and sports events were so much better every year. I got to participate and play for my university in inter college football match! The musical nights and concerts are always fun and great to experience. Plus the Navratri event was favourite of mine because i love garba and college gave us a chance to play garba for one day. Workshops, seminars and hackathons arranged are good for geeks, i even participated in debate competitions organised in campus. We have one cafe also, we go there and chill with friends for hours in free time.TED event is also organised every year and we get to listen some of the best speakers of India.
- I like my faculty members too. They have been great support for all students who want their personal guidance also. Every faculty member is very helpful even when they’re busy with their work. We feel like they are our best friends. In our college we students are allotted one faculty member who is our mentor for whole year and this mentor helps us getting good grades and getting better opportunities for internships. They also take care of our mental health and we can go to talk to them whenever we need. Whenever we need some assistance we can always contact them. My faculty mentor is also very helpful and generous, when i needed some guidance about my mental health, he helped me get of that situation. Every faculty treats students equally and they are always ready to teach us if we don’t get things right in classroom.
Dislikes
- I don’t think that fees should be this high for this course as so many students wants to study in this university but because of high tuition fees they can’t. Plus lack of scholarships for worthy students is one the minus point. For students from economically weaker backgrounds this can be a major issue accessing their higher education
- Administrative inefficiency are a common source of frustration among students. Complicated admission procedures:- Many students faces unnecessary delays or complications during the admission process due to poor coordination among different departments. Issues such as incorrect documentation requirements, unclear guideline or unresponsive staff create stress or confusion. This issue can be resolved with proper training of staff Another main issue is transportation issues For student living off campus or hostel and pgs far away from main campus, transportation can be main concern as there is no short distance shuttle service available and public transportation is also not easily available. You have to pay much more than usual to reach main city. From 2025 the metro will connect university to main city regularly but still shuttle service is must needed for hostel people and outsiders
Remarks :
The admission process for my university was straightforward and transparent, As it did not involve group discussions, Interview or written test for admission. Every thing was based solely on my performance in 12th standard board examinations and my JEE Marks. The campus is well-equipped with modern labs, A comprehensive library And extra curricular activities. A vibrant campus life with numerous students club and Activity added to its appeal. The college has dedicated an placement cell thay provide training and assistance to help students secure internships and jobs in reputed companies. The college provides excellent infrastructure and good hostel accommodation. Drawbacks are Food options in canteen are limited and quality could be improved. While the college organises workshops and seminars, the number of industry visits and collaborations could be increased to give students better exposure of real world
Course Curriculum Overview :
The civil engineer course in my university Is well structured and covering fundamental principles and advanced topic to prepare students for real world. 1st year subjects includes foundation building of whole civil engineering field. 2nd year includes core civil engineering subjects. 3rd year includes specialisation and practical learning. 4th year is all about advanced studies, research and field work including various internships. The faculty members in civil engineering department are highly qualified phD graduates from IITs.The teaching methods are employed with modern yet traditional methods We have one mid term exam of 50 marks and One end semester exam of 100 marks for each subject. Internal assessment of 25 marks. Mid semester and end semester marks are converted into half and then adding IA marks we get total of 100 marks. Question ranges from basic definitions to advance problem solving. Some paper includes numericals and theory questions both depending on the subject.
Internships Opportunities :
I have done 2 internships in my 3 years of college. I have done one major internship in my field. I was a intern at RAJARAM CONSTRUCTION. This company is doing renovation of Gandhinagar city drainage. here i was a trainee and I learned so much about how this drainage work is done for whole city. I had to visit different sites everyday for 50 days and to learn key aspects of management plus how site engineer has to do. This was not a paid internship but many students got paid internships also. College also helped in getting internships. I have also done a research project on RS GIS field. I was working on methodology for catchment data clustering techniques for indian water catchments. Apart from research projects these are some companies which offered internships BSafal Ranjit buildcon Goyal and co Aditya birla group Some of them were paid internships and stipends were 8000-13000. The major roles were for site engineers and research assistants.
Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are good for some departments. Most of the students get placement every year. Ranging 4 lpa to 10 lpa. Students with higher cpi and zero backlogs get the highest packages. There are some criterias like no active backlogs should be there while seating in interviews but some companies allow so we can apply for them. Average package last year was 5.6 lpa Minimum package was 3.9 lpa And highest was 8.3 lpa. (This data is for civil engineering department 2024 placement) All the students in civil engineering who applied for placement were placed in good companies. Many students don’t want to seat in placement because some of them wants to go for MBA or MTech. Some are choosing not to do job but business or others are opting for government jobs. My plan is to do masters in technology and also i am preparing for government job entrance exams. If no campus placement is offered then students might go for off campus placement or they may prepare for other jobs .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition fees i pay for my course is 2,34,000 per annum. The registration fees was 500 while taking admission. There is no extra admission fees. Also there are no extra lab or development fees. Everything is included in yearly fee. 13000 fees is taken when you are taking admission which is some kind of deposit for library and that fee is refunded after compliance of course. Fees for every student is same, there is no different fee for SC ST category but yes they get scholarships from government for studies. Many students from my batch are getting this scholarships Omi chauhan Vaishali makwana Vanshika makwana These are some girls who belongs to sc/st category and they get full scholarships for whole course. Some students get scholarships because of their parent’s low incomes. Jaimin patel Shrey ghelani Sujal thanki These are some students who gets this scholarship from government. University gives some scholarships to the top 3 students of class every semester. Worth 5000 to 15000.
Campus Life :
Every year we have 3 big events are organised in university. One is freshers cup and petro cup which is a sports event organised by sports club of pdeu. Freshers cup is for new students who just entered in college and petro cup is inter college sports competition. Then comes ‘tesseract’ which is science and tech fest organised by s&t club. ‘flare’ is a social and cultural fest of the year organised by s&c club.. We have 3 big libraries.. Each of them have more than 20000 books and journals. Daily newspaper service which includes major 5 newspapers like regional newspaper, The Hindu, TOI, divya bhaskar, Sandesh. Classrooms are fully air conditioned with capacity of 80-150 students to sit. We have 3 big white boards and one projector. Classrooms have proper ventilation and lighting so even in electricity cut we don’t feel suffocated. 4 acs and 8 fans are there in each classroom and more if the classrooms are big.
Hostel Facilities :
Pdeu has one of the finest hostels around all universities in gandhinagar. We get a detailed mail every year if we have to apply for hostel accommodation. Then we have to fill the form and rooms are allocated on basis of first come first serve. We have different room sized including 3/4 students to live in. Hostel mess is run by Jayswal group of food and catering. Food quality is 7/10 but menu is so diverse, we get different food choices every day. We get breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner. Eggs are available in breakfast and high tea. Non veg options are available If we compare to other hostels the fees are higher than usual but given facilities are good so every year hostels get fully occupied. One of my friend lives in PG and its fees are little higher than hostel fees because they get allocated parking and only 2 students per room. You can also rent a flat or houses near by college and prices range from 20k to 30k for 3/4 bhk flats And also there are so many pgs

They are good after m pharma around 90% but after b pharma not much because students opt to go for further education overall it’s is good and students a can rely on placement after completion of their course

Average CGPA should be more than 8. Packages providing will be approx 1.5-3.0 LPA. The placement is about 90%. The packages provided are good and satisfactory. After completing this bachelor's degree I would go for masters degree.

No placements are there . The aveeagw placement in the market is about 1.5 to 4.5 lakhs .As compared to the different field the packages for the freshers are very low . But the faculties based on their refrences they give the opportunity.

I havent got any job offer or placement from this University because i m a Diploma student but i will definitely try to search by myself for the job opportunities.I would rather handle my home business may be an 9 to 5 Job.
