Remarks :
The good name and reputation of this college in Chennai made me choose this college, We did not have to go through any specific group discussion or interview to get into the college but we had to visit the college to submit a few major documents and let them know abut the marks we scored in our 12th standard. The cut-off for Women Christian College Chennai was a 100 for the core subject, specifically for the B.Com department but it is not very hard to get in at all. There is not much preparation to be done to get into the college it will be quite easy if you have all your important documents ready and on hand.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose enB.Com Accounting and Finance as it has a major scope in Accounting and the finance sectors,I learned that this course could even be branched out into income tax , digital marketing and other interesting fields .I also chose etihs curse as I can do an MBA in the future that will require a B.Com degree. The course curriculum is very uniquely set for the students by the faculty and is wonderfully tailored to the needs of the students pertaining to the subjects we learn. The difficulty level is not too high but a certain level of concentration is greatly required to understand the maths and accounting subjects that are taught in class. The term exams are conducted twice a year and are evaluated for each semester further a monthly test is also conducted.The faculty are highly qualified and super approachable for clarifications if necessary.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, the college does provide us with internship opportunities and it is part of our syllabus and is a compulsory project that is to be completed in our 1st year. I completed my internship for 30 days with RR Donnelley as a digital marketing executive and gained immense knowledge and clarity on corporate skills. I did not receive a stipend but will be for a future project I might work on, I was asked to work on numerous data cleaning work and proofreading waa also done I was also helping in some e-mail blast campaigns
Placement Experience :
The college provides us with numerous Placement opportunities for both undergraduate and postgraduate students by conducting frequent campus interviews for the final year students. Their eligibility for the placement would be to have passed all the core subjects and to have proper attendance. Companies like RR DOnneley, Infosys, Wipro, Google, HCL, Kotak Mahindra Bank etc. The average package starts from 4LPA to 8LPA.My plan is to do an MBA PG for two years in finance or digital marketing, and then settle for a job in and around Chennai itself.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
We have two semesters and we have to pay the fees for each semester separately. We are required to pay around 50000 for each semester. An additional exam fee will be collected during the exam and an amount of 1000 will be collected. The college also has numerous scholarship opportunities, both private and government scholarships are accepted by our college. Other charges may include a fee of rupees 1000 for sports activities and rupees 500 for scripture books etc. The fee payments are all done using the official online portal of the college only .
Campus Life :
The social life at Women's Christian College is quite nice and enjoyable, the infrastructure is awesome with really beautiful buildings in campus.There are numerous fests conducted in the college the main one every Febuary called the "FESTEVE", other events are also conducted by each department almost every 2-3 weeks. We are also allowed to participate in other college events switch the permission of our teachers . The college has a large library that is air-conditioned and well-maintained, numerous books, magazines and study materials are available in the library.The sports department also gives us the opportunity to take art in many games and conduct many inter-department matches for game like football, basket ball and tennis.There also clubs available like the Rotract,NCC and NSS.

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
