the main factor for choosing this college was that it is in my home town and near my residence . i didn't face any group discussion , interview or written test as my admission was merit based. a very bad aspect of my college is that - it does not provide with the facilities worth to our yearly fees, any UIET's student will pay more fees than any other department's student ( in some case 3 and 4 times) and they will get more facilities than us.
UIET has a good faculty , method of teaching is simple enough. we have exams for every semester. the course curriculum is a bit outdated , but it has all other facilities like a transportation lab , soil lab , material testing lab , etc.
i have opted for a internship(unpaid) on my own. if you don't have a network and want to do an internship, then the faculty is very help full and supportive. also teachers help us to complete the project works every year , so that we can get knowledge about latest tech and type of projects goin on in our industry.
many companies come from time to time for placement, and teachers are also very supportive in case of placements. many big and small companies come to pick the student in bulk(sometimes) and provide with below average package for a mediocre job
yearly fees for b.tech civil engineering is near about 80000 rupees for general category, and there are various scholarship programs for sc , obc , etc. there is a registration fee of 1000 rs , if you got any reappear in any subject unfortunately you have to pay 1350 rs to retake that subject's test, and also for example - you failed in a single subject in 3rd semester, you can only then give that subject test only in next odd semester like in 5th or 7th semester ( it sometimes waste your whole year)
there are various social and sports club. every year a sports meet is organized by student body in between various departments. there are a wide variety of books are available, but mostly of them are outdated and have excess information not related to our curriculum. there is a student's activity center where you can play table tennis or chess in a common room, a badminton hall, cricket stadium, track for running, and other sports facilities
i have not opted for a hostel room, but my lot of friends had. so i know a lot about boy's hostel - their room , washroom facility , mess infrastructure , etc. for one semester hostel room's fee is about 7500 rupees , i.e. yearly about 15000 + security for room and mess service. the whole process to get a hostel room and avail the mess facility is very lengthy and tiring and not good for student who comes from a far away place as they might have to book a hotel for long time until they don't get alloted with a room. also there is a cap for how many students will get a room. if you have taken a room, then you must have to avail mess for minimum rupees of 2500 and in any case ( you don't like the food, want to eat anywhere else) you don't get to opt out. also these hostels are cheap, but they aren't justifying the price they are asking for it
The Career Development Centre (CDC) plays an important role in preparing students for internships and future placements. The CDC conducts career guidance sessions, skill development workshops, resume-building activities, aptitude training, and interview preparation programs to improve students' employability. One initiative that I personally found beneficial was the Internship Fair organized by the university. It provided students with an opportunity to interact with different organizations and apply for summer internships, helping us gain practical industry exposure before entering the final placement season. Such initiatives allow students to build professional experience and develop workplace skills at an early stage.
The employability is very good and placements are also very good trainers and campus placement cell is highly supportive and companies are arrives regularly on every year basis and growth prospects are very good for the students
All the Management persons and all Faculties and Heads and Working persons , even the Housekeeping and our Seniors all are very cooperative and helping and have a humble and polite nature. And I really appreciate them all and very thankful to all of them.
KRMU provides placement assistance through its Training and placement cell, which conducts aptitude training, mock interview, resume building sessions and skill development session to improve students employability. Student become eligible for campus placement in the final year subject meeting the criteria of the individual company. Eligible criteria include maintaining the CGPA, having limited or no active backlog, and fulfilling company specific criteria.
Placements are decent for skilled students with eligibility usually starting in the final year . Companies like TCS , Infosys ,BHEL visit the campus . The average package is around 4-6b LPA . After completing my B-tech degree , I plan to pursue a career in software development
Aroun 6.5-8 cgpa should be maintained to avail for placement. No backlogs. Respect teachers. Fee visited recruiters were ICICI ey pwc etc highest packaging where I heard about was 56LPA and average was around 9-12LPA.
Curriculum was very much reasonable and it was very much easy to understand it also had division of management studies and computer studies which made it very much easier for me to understand the faculty was amazing and very helpful
There is no certain eligibility criteria depends on the company and Many company comes all every year. Layi Blinkit, Zomato et cetera et cetera Also, there are separate departments for placement like CDC department
Currently i am perusing my PhD so not applicable for me and the placements i have seen is very impression companies are good like tcs, bain, lumenci, proedge and average package offered is 12 lpa. so i hope to get a good chance for myself and get a very good placement looking forward for the beat chance
Nice, faculty of my college is very cooperative and understanding. Helps students with their problems and explain concepts in an interactive and interesting way so that concepts should be understood in an easier way.
