- NIET is autonomous thus it is more industry oriented than other AKTU colleges.
- NIET focuses and embrace more startup culture in the college by providing place +40% attendence + funding and fulltime support by faculties.
Dislikes
- campus is too small and divided into three
- minimal fests in niet without any guests.
- no socail life in niet , it only focuses on acadmics
Remarks :
admission is given on the basis of marks secured in jee or upsee(uttar pradesh state entrance examination) conducted by AKTU. student must have completed 12th class(minimum 45%) in science stream. I was quite interested in internet of things as it provides more placement opportunities as it consists of both hardware and software. Niet is best college in greater noida in terms of acadmics and placements with highest crossing 58LPA and average crossing 6LPA. with godd and helping faculty. The college is autonomous and thus industry oriented.
Course Curriculum Overview :
btech in cse IOT is a good course and i am also interested in it, there are 2 sections of it with 72 students each the faculty is very helpful , they help us in and after college hours. The qualifications of faculty is PHD mostly, most of them have industry experience too. there are three sessionals and one endsem , the sessionals are easy as they ask questions directly from the workbooks provided. The college conducts workshops of programming languanges too , beyond theoy after the semester gets over to provide a real time experience of industry , these workshops are mostly a month (9-5 daily )long with tests and practical included . they are stict with the curriculum as they have 85% attendence criteria in first year and 75% from next year onwards. In workshops they fine 1000 Rs on absentees(strictly followed).
Internships Opportunities :
No i have'nt opted for internship as i am in first year but i know some of the insides. most of internships of niet does'nt provide stipends. although a huge number of students apllied and get internhips for second year
Placement Experience :
Niet placements for 2023 have been concluded with impressice results . Arounc 300+ companies participated in NIET campus recruitement and offered the NIET's highest salary package of 58LPA. Moreover, about 2700+ of the students were placed in reputed companies. Some of the top recruiters who visited NIET for placements 2023 were Amazon ,Deloitte, Capgemini, E&Y, MIcrosoft etc. The collge also has a strong alumni network of more than 20000 alumini working in various sectors ad somains across the world. The median package of btech was 4.5LPA -5LPA. around 90% of students get placed out of the eligible ones.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tution fees is 118000 but there are add-ons (administrative fees, exam fees etc) which makes it 179000 for the first year and 150000 from second year onwards , while for scholorships there is a fees wavier from aktu for stuents with higher rank in jee and for them it is 60000 for the first year and 36000 approx from next year onwards. The fees has been increased a bit it was 174000 last year and now it is 179000. students can apply for there respective state scholorships provided by the government.
Campus Life :
Campus is small, thats the only drawback they have and due to it there is a so so college life , the college has less initiative regarding the social life ,you have to do it on your own as there is hardly a good fest in a year and they have started freshers from this year . The clubs are the only source of interaction in college there are many clubs , the fests are organized by clubs only.
Hostel Facilities :
hostels are quit okay in terms of facilities provided, the toilets are not that good in 3 seaters and 4 seaters , there are two buildings one for 4 and 3 seater one for double and single sharing flat hostels , the hostels are connected with the acadmic block through bridges thus it is much beneficials for college hostlers. The mess food is best among the greater noida belt of colleges. The only drawback is too much restriction , you can not go out after 6:30 (for boys and girls both) , the college is divided in 3 campuses the girls hostel is in another campus .

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
