Remarks :
picked IIIT Sonepat because of its focus on tech, coding culture, and decent placements. It’s also part of the IIIT ecosystem, which means good faculty and industry exposure. Plus, it’s in Haryana, close to Delhi, which has great internship and job opportunities. Admission Process Entrance Exam: Admission is purely based on JEE Main rank (no interviews, GDs, or extra tests). Cut-off: It varies yearly but is competitive—top JEE Main scorers get in. Counseling: Done through JoSAA & CSAB. No direct admissions.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Courses in my college are quite mordern and advanced, curriculum is well structured but keeps changing from batch to batch, faculties are quite knowledgeable and well aware, and majority of them are quite considate except a few, and are very chill in sens of classroom teaching, we don't have an attendance policy i.e no 75%, but assignments are pain & needs to be submitted. There are 2 mid terms and a end semester exams which are extremely difficult, like open books.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, I’ve done internships! IIIT Sonepat provides plenty of internship opportunities through its Training and Placement Cell (TnP Cell), industry collaborations, and personal networking.Stipends? Their is no permanent campus as of now. We have fest during feb-march And also there are a few clubs Life at IIIT Sonepat is a blend of academics, extracurricular activities, and vibrant social interactions, fostering a holistic development environment for students. Social Life and Clubs: The institute boasts a variety of student-run clubs catering to diverse interests: Technical Clubs: For those passionate about technology and innovation. Entrepreneurship Cell: Nurtures budding entrepreneurs and startup enthusiasts. Cultural Clubs: Provides platforms for fine arts, music, dance, and theater, enriching the campus's cultural fabric.
Hostel Facilities :
During my first yr i did opt for hostel but left it afterwards for a flat nearby, the reason for leaving was bad facilities and food IIIT Sonepat offers hostel facilities for both male and female students. Due to the ongoing development of its permanent campus, the institute currently utilizes transit hostels near the campus. These accommodations are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with a priority to arrange housing for every student.

The Career Development Centre (CDC) plays an important role in preparing students for internships and future placements. The CDC conducts career guidance sessions, skill development workshops, resume-building activities, aptitude training, and interview preparation programs to improve students' employability. One initiative that I personally found beneficial was the Internship Fair organized by the university. It provided students with an opportunity to interact with different organizations and apply for summer internships, helping us gain practical industry exposure before entering the final placement season. KRMU provides placement assistance through its Training and placement cell, which conducts aptitude training, mock interview, resume building sessions and skill development session to improve students employability. Student become eligible for campus placement in the final year subject meeting the criteria of the individual company. Eligible criteria include maintaining the CGPA, having limited or no active backlog, and fulfilling company specific criteria.

Placements are decent for skilled students with eligibility usually starting in the final year . Companies like TCS , Infosys ,BHEL visit the campus . The average package is around 4-6b LPA . After completing my B-tech degree , I plan to pursue a career in software development

Aroun 6.5-8 cgpa should be maintained to avail for placement. No backlogs. Respect teachers. Fee visited recruiters were ICICI ey pwc etc highest packaging where I heard about was 56LPA and average was around 9-12LPA.
