- Library is one thing which i like most about the college. It's the best place in the college . You can study whole day here.
- Campus life was great here . I met some of the best people here ,formed bonding . I met so many friends , i always feel grateful to have come to this college to meet these wonderful people .
Dislikes
- Management of the college is real bad. Things just keep getting postponed . You have to visit again and again to get something as trivial as getting a signature .
- The Training and placement cell is a team of just 3 people . Like they should be some 10-15 minimum in Tpo . But at JSS TPO has only 3 people so you can imagine how things would be going in that domain.
Remarks :
Here are some factors which made me choose this college - 1 . College placements are good to decent , all the sincere hardworking students get placed. 2 . The location of the college is prime . It is in sector 62 Noida. 3 . Infrastructure of the college is good. The admission process for my batch was through JEE Mains examination . For CS and IT the cutoffs were around 60-70k for general while pretty lower even 2.5 lakh for SC / ST candidates. But recently they have started their own university so they take in through 12th marks as well.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose IT because seniors told me that it was the chillest department of all and this is true , IT is the chillest department among all. The facutly is good , while there are some irritating ones but majority of the faculty is good and supportive. University exams are conducted every semester , while in each semester you have 3 internal exams called CIAs at a duration of 5 weeks roughly.
Internships Opportunities :
The fact is college does no help in internships .You got to find an internship on your own . College only helps with campus placements. The best way to find internship is to connect with other seniors in the college. If you are hostelite you will find seniors there but if you stay outside you got to join some clubs to interact with seniors.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placements is not strict . It varies from company to company . A cgpa of >= 7.5 and no backlogs will make you eligible for 99% companies. Some prominent recuiters are Adobe , UKG , Josh Tech etc. The highest package varies but average is some 4-6 lakh. some 70% students get placed . Many of the students go for higher studies e.g. GATE etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For my course duration I paid 1,20,000 each year. This fees is same for all category students . The government of UP offers scholarship to students bases on their category . The candidates from SC / ST get around 112000 while general and OBC students get 56000 . Additional charges are 7800 each year for university registrations. Since JSS is moving to it's own university apart from state govt , the fees is expected to increase so do check that .
Campus Life :
The college has an annual fest. It's not the best one in this region but it's pretty decent and enjoyable. It lasts 3 days with multiple programs. Library is the best part about the college . It opens from 8 am to 8 pm . You can literally study for 12 hours in the library . It's Air conditioned and quiet. Sports and extracurricular activities are happening almost all the time . You need to join clubs corresponding to your interests e.g. Dance , Drama , robotics etc. There are 3 clubs dedicated to tech and programming e.g. GDSC , NCS , MMIL. Try to get into any one of them if you want to find good peers for coding .
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel food is average to be honest . It's like any other any hostel out there . The hostel is affordable though . The general hostel costs around 95k each year while ISH (international standard hostel ) costs around 1,35,000. If you can't afford that you can find affordable hostels in the bishanpura region which is just near college . These hostels charge monthly around 4000 for a room.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.

The placement are nice, this year the Highest package was of 60 Lakh and the Average package was of 5.4 Lakh. There are a lot of internships oppourtinity also so you get to experience Industry work during you 3rd year which gives you a heads up.

Placements and job opportunities at Galgotias university are good. Students become eligible according to their course requirements and academic performance. Many healthcare companies and hospitals visit for placements and internships. After completing B.Sc Nursing, my plan is to work in a good hospital, gain experience and grow in the healthcare field.
