Dislikes
- The main thing which I dislike about my college is its infrastructure, and moodiness of some professors, and cheap politics .Otherwise everything is just very pleasant.
Remarks :
I got admission in HBTU Kanpur , with my JEE mains Score. HBTU conducts its own counselling every year , after JEE mains and JEE advanced exams , around same time as JOSAA , CSAB , AKTU counselling. I scored approx. 95 percentile in JEE mains by God's sake , and I was getting admissions in some Tier 2 NITs , but with recommendations from my family, relatives, I took HBTU Kanpur , as I belong to UP , so HBTU being in Kanpur is a very good choice , also as Kanpur is an old Industrial region , also Kanpur has IIT kanpur , so that also adds up to the location advantage of my HBTU. Also , HBTU is a Tier - 2 state university, with a huge Alumni network , Also HBTU has a very huge collection of books in its central Library, thode books are from the time of British itself.Also People here are very chill , and campus is very peaceful. Also , HBTU Kanpur is considered to be one of the best college for chemical engineering and Chemical technology
Course Curriculum Overview :
90 % teachers have excellent knowledge in their subjects , some of them are permanent professorsof the University, and some are Guest Professors. Out of these 90 % , 40 % teachers Teacher very well , like you would not have to go to any coaching or other course , they teach very well and professionally, and could clear each and every doubt. And rest 50 % have very good knowledge, but lack teaching skills , like everyone felw sleepy in their class , and can't sync with their teaching style. The 10% faculty i would say , they themselves have to learn a lot , they also lack knowledge???? Most of the professors are very chill , and easily give marks , if you timely do and submit their assignments, and giving proper attendance. But some 5-6 professors are very moody and aggressive, they could do anything based on their mood. Mid semester exams are held once every 2 months, and are but difficult and descriptive, then final semester exam.
Internships Opportunities :
No not yet , but some of my friends have. The university itself helps students to get enrolled in Industrial internship programs from 3rd year onwards , before that , there are many private internship programs which offer internships to students of 1st , 2nd year , in different subjects / specifications.
Placement Experience :
Placements are very good here in HBTU Kanpur , in 2024 , of total students who completed their graduation in engineering programs , 81% students got placed. And some who didn't got placement or not even sit in placement, made into good government jobs. The average package of my branch is approx 9.1 lpa , which is pretty good for starting the career in chemical engineering. Branches like Paint have 100 % placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As I didn't avail any scholarship, because I am a General category , non - EWS student, Domicile of UP and Male , so I have to pay whole amount for fees , 135000 rs. is the total academic tution fees per year, whose structure is as follows :- 1) Tution Fees - 75000 rs. 2) Examination Charges - 10000 rs. 3) User Charges - 22000 rs. 4) University development and facilities charges - 14000 rs. 5) Miscellaneous - 7500 rs. Grand Total Rs. 135000 The basic scholarships in HBTU could be availed through UP scholarships , The main eligibility criterion for all categories is that , annual family income should be < 2 lpa it's benefits are as follows - 1) General Ews - 58000-60000 rs . Off Per year 2) OBC - 70000-72000 rs. Off Per year 3) SC/ST - 1 lakh - 1.2 lakh rs. Off Per year Girls , and Handicapped students might get some extra benefits.
Campus Life :
Campus life is average, it's peaceful, but not much to do , the campus has several canteens , to spend free time there. Also there are lots of trees in the campus. But the infrastructure of departments is very old , it needs maintenance. You will get the feel of government offices seeing them . We have 3 Big auditoriums , where several events are held. Also several fests are held here , like technical fests like Technika , Cultural fests... Etc , conducted by their respective councils and sub - councils, which are run by students and some co-ordinating faculties. The major fest of HBTU is Adhyaay , which is held once in a year , at the time of March- April , in which a celebrity comes , and lots of events are held like DJ night , feasts , games... Etc . The main thing is , the University campus is beautifully decorated, it feels aesthetic.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes , I opted for University's hostel , there are seperate hostels for 1st , 2nd , 3rd , 4th year Boys and girls , also there are hostels for post graduation and PHD students. For Undergraduate Hostellers ( boys) , fee structure per year is as follows:- 1) Hostel Fee ( Annual ) - 21,250 rs. 2) Mess charges ( Annual) - 36000 rs. 3) DSW charges - 3750 rs. Hostel Conditions are average. Electricity and Water is unlimited. Every year , around July - August , when new academic year starts , the hostels are alloted / re-alloted , so that time , for the students enrolled in University, form comes on the official HBTU page , fill that form , submit the dues , and reach the reach hostel , and fill all the formalities there , and you will get the hostel , and a room will be alloted to you. Hostels have triple , single rooms mostly.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low
My Experience at Galgotias University
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.

Placements and job opportunities at Galgotias university are good. Students become eligible according to their course requirements and academic performance. Many healthcare companies and hospitals visit for placements and internships. After completing B.Sc Nursing, my plan is to work in a good hospital, gain experience and grow in the healthcare field.
