- Great Infrastructure and hospitality environment
- Excellent professor and and well maintained labs and classrooms
- Excellent fests and co curricular activities
- Diversity among student , student from different part of india get here in SRM , Good exposure
Dislikes
- Fees is too high, Not many students can afford it.
- Strict rules regarding Hostel and mess services
- Too many exams in between semester and the weightage of subject is also very high
Remarks :
For me I appeared in Jee mains examinations but wasn't able to crack it , so as a second option I opted for SRMIST, To get into SRM you need to give an online exam which is SRMJEE, The cutoff of this exam is as follows: 1) 1-5000 - CSE core branch )2- 10000 - any other Branch maximum cutoff is of 10000 There is NO GD/PI round , once you get under cutoff you need to select your branch and according to your rank and interest your seat will get alloted
Course Curriculum Overview :
My Course is CSE with specialization in AI/ML , I had a very keen interest towards AI and Machine Learning so for that purpose I choose this branch, The Professor and Teaching faculty are good, the know what they are teaching and with that all of the professor are well experienced in teaching with minimum of 10+ yr of experience in teaching. Coming to exam , there are going to be 3 class test for each subject this test will determine your internals so take it very seriously. Every Subject is based on this curriculum which is 60/40 - 60% weightage of your internals marks and% for your sem end paper Difficulty is medium if you study good then you can easily secure a nine pointer cgpa
Internships Opportunities :
Till now I have not opted for any internship as Iam still in my 4th semester but i have applied in many internship programs through my college. You can get a role of jr. developer in any good company where the Stipend varies from 15000 to 50000 RS.
Placement Experience :
The placement and Job opportunities are good , If you hone your skills in 4 years and give some time on making projects and get up to date with your linkedin and Github you secure a very good job or what you as land a job in super dream company whose package lies between 18 to 50 lpa. Some recruiters which comes in are campus for placement are - Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Infosys, Facebook , DELL, Delloite, IBM, HP, Mahindra and Mahindra, Ather automotive and etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For my year of admission the per annum fees is 450000 per year. This is the tuition fees, Hostel and exam fees are excluded in it. There are 4 to 5 scholarship program which you can avail during the time of admission , which are as following: 1) Founder's Scholarship - you can avail this by having top 100 rank in SRMJEE exam or top 20000 rank in jee mains 2) SRM Merit Scholarship - you can secure this by getting 100 - 500 rank in srmjee exam 3) Differently abbled 4)Defense Scholarship
Campus Life :
So Social life is good , if you get involved in it. There are many clubs and events you can join and take a part in it. For me getting to know people and talking to them have helped me grow very much in my college. The college library is amazing!! You get a 3 floor library (A/C Conditioned) with that you have access to almost every book available . The sports activity are also good , SRM is known for its sports. Many of the indian olympian player were part of SRM
Hostel Facilities :
So I have opted Hostel for both my first and second year , The hostel price varies from which type of hostel you choose , I choose KAARI hostel, which is 4 sharing non A/C, the price breakup was 45000/- for room and 65000/- for Mess, which comes in total of 110000 per yr. It is compulsary to opt mess if you take hostel. To get a room or PG , you can lokk in Potheri area, which is just behind the college campus.

Placements are given in high reputed companies, even companies like Microsoft, IOS, intel are also collaborated with the college. And for animation they provide placement in" Toonz Animation, Techno park, Thiruvananthapuram.

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The faculty of this college is good there are strick and the curriculum are good and every one in the college will face 2 test before the main exam internal test one and internal test 2 are the two test and practical will be taken place a side
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
