Remarks :
The admission in HBTU Kanpur is possible if any individual is appearing for JEE mains. Candidates do not need to clear JEE advanced but one must have secured a rank in JEE mains. To get into this college candidate must go through the Registration in the counseling process of HBTU Kanpur. The date of counseling is similar to the date of counseling of JOSAA but this college is not aloted via JOSAA as it has its own website to go through the counseling process. The cut off of JEE mains depends upon the number of candidates appearing for exam. If candidate have cleared the cut off of their respective category the they can apply for this college. Then further according to the rank of the candidate they have been alloted a branch.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is such that in a year there are two semesters which have 5 or 6 subjects per semester. In first year the subjects are same for all the branches. Then after first year the courses are according to your branch. As a government institution the faculty are well qualified also most of them have done their M.tech or Ph.d from IITs. Now the each semester has Two mid semesters exams that is of 15 marks each and one end semesters exam that is of 50 marks. The midsems are considered to be easy as compared to the endsemester exam due the less syllabus in midsems.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I opted for RIL intern which consists of three rounds the resume selection, the Aptitude and final Interview. The stipend which was offered is Rs 20000 per month. In the other technology branches the stipend was Rs.40000 per months also it varies from company to company. There are less on campus intern in the college but students can go for off campus intern which is related to their respective branches.
Placement Experience :
Students have full opportunity to do intern in any domain they want to. Internship are not necessary in first second year but it is compulsory in third year. Students can participate in the internships offered by the company with or without a stipend. The eligibility criteria for placement depends upon company to company. For some companies the criteria should be That is the CGPA must be equal to or greater than 6 CGPA for some companies it is 6.5 CGPA OR 7.0 CGPA. The placement in the core branches have improved and the technology branches are also increasing the placement. Some the Recruiters are Reliance, Arti industries, L&T etc
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The overall tuition fee is Rs.127500 per year and there are hostel and mess fess also which is Rs.36000 for mess and Rs.21250 for hostel and Rs.3750 for Dean student welfare. Also there are various ways by which an individual can apply for scholarship like seimen scholarships and U.P. government scholarships. The amount of scholarship depend on category as well. SC/ST/OBC get more amount than General category. A student is eligible for the scholarship if his father annual income is less than or equal to Rs.200000 per annum.
Campus Life :
The best thing about college life is Fest. There are various clubs for different different field like Aeroclub , Autorob are the technical club of the college and there are drama club,poetry club , dance club, singing club for entertainment. There are plenty of sports activities that you can learn or Excell in. Also the college sports fest "aagaz" held around April. As of now there is one global organization IEEE which is run by students in electrical engineering department. There is one central library where almost all the books are available according the syllabus.
Hostel Facilities :
For first, second and third year the occupancy of room is triple seated there are single room in the final year hostel only. The room size is pretty good like one can adjust there quickly also there are separate almirah of each individual in the room. For triple seated there are three almirah. The menu of the hostel is selected by the hostel members only. The hostel fees is Rs21250 and mess fees is Rs36000 and DSW fees is Rs 3750 per year which is equal to Rs.60000 per year. Once you got admission in the college you have to opt for hostel in the form that is bring provided om the website. The food quality in mess in good like there is hygiene also.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
