I chose this college because it has one of the best reputation among private colleges in greater noida and even in all uttar pradesh. Also because of it's curriculum which is regulated by the college itself because of the autonomy status. And it was the best choice according to my JEE mains score. I didn't face any gd or tests because I got admission through UPTAC counselling. For counselling students, the admission process requires just submitting documents in physical and digital format, and it's done. For direct admission students, they can face interviews or written tests most probably if the number of students are more than the seats available for direct admission. To talk about cutoff, I got this college in the fourth round of UPTAC counselling, being of general category and having a percentile of 78+ in JEE mains.
The curriculum is one of the main reasons why I chose this college, but there are some reasons I'm disappointed with it. Though the curriculum is well made and up to date regarding the technical skills that we need to know at the present time, I didn't like the fact that we were taught 2 programming launguages in a short time period of 1 month in a workshop that happened after the semester end. The programming languages should have been included with the main subjects and the physics or electrical labs should have been shifted to workshops, in my opinion. What I really liked was the effective communication classes, which emphasize on the overall personality development of an individual, not just communication. Most of the faculty is just good and only few are excellent at teaching their subjects. Exams are very frequent, 3 sessionals of 30 marks, 3 weekly of 10 marks, and 1 end semester of 100 marks in 1 semester. We feel like we never get a break since a semester starts.
No I haven't opted for an internship yet because I have a little technical knowledge. I would opt for that when I reach my 3rd semester. Well, the college has hired a company which helps in providing internships by directly connecting with MNCs. So I think, there are adequate internship opportunities available here.
College tries it's best to provide internships and placements but at the end it's up to the students that they're up to the mark to be eligible for that. The crietria for placement is all backlogs cleared, overall cgpa more than 7,although different companies have their own criteria for cgpa, it's advisable to keep the cgpa above 8 to get max opportunities. Well, the college never shares the data of placements. It only shares the name of the students who get placed along with their package. So it's very difficult to determine those stats. Average and highest packages are 4 lpa and 50 lpa. The percentage of placed students is probably less than 60%. After btech, I will either opt for higher studies abroad or take a job of 15 lpa or more.
The total fee for 1st year is 179100. It includes 118400 as tuition fee, 11500 as exam fee, 5000 as caution fee, 5000 as training and placement fee, 5000 as student welfare fee, 5400 as institute industry interface fee, 8600 as TBL, 4800 as registration fee, 7600 for outsearch activity, and 7800 for career planning and technical grooming. This is the fee structure for all branches in betch, for the first year and also for m.tech (integrated) in cse. From 2nd year onwards, the fee is 155700. Thus it decreases slightly. There are no major scholarships except that provided by AKTU to financially weak students having a family income of 1 lakh pa or less. Students can apply for scholarship if their category is other than general, in which they get around 18000 per month.
Campus life is just like school life, or even worse in some conditions. In school we had multiple occasions to get relieved from hectic study schedule but here we get some relief only during lunch time, the rest of the time we're supposed to be only studying. Ah, let's talk the infra first. It's very bad, it feels like a school. The campus is divided in 3 campuses, 1 for 1st year, 2nd for 2nd to 4th year students, 3rd one for management students. There's such a little interaction with seniors. And the library, it's so small, one can't even stand there and read something. Just get a book issued and leave. It's one-fourth the size of the classroom. However the libraries in other 2 campuses are big enough and have variety of books. There are sports and extracurricular activities but we don't get enough time to give our best to it since we can't spare time from college hours otherwise we'll fall short in attendance. However, there are many wonderful clubs run by seniors.
Hostel is quite expensive. The cheapest room with beds for 3 people and nothing but a fan for cooling costs 1 lakh per year. You have to register for a hostel during the time when u come to the college for admission process. After that you can't. The infra of hostel is better than that of the college. The rooms are big, have proper connectivity to wifi. Washroom and rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. Talking about the mess, it's pretty good and big. There's a variety of food for each weekday. Sometimes the food is a bit much oily but they try to make it tasty and healthy. But half of the evening snacks are just unhealthy like pasta, noodles, khasta, samosa. Although the menu keeps changing frequently, most of these snacks remain unchanged

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
There are regular placement drives that are conducted on a monthly basis. We have regular updates for campus placement drives that are shared with us and we can participate in them to choose the best options for ourselves.
Galgotias University has a high placement rate with the current tenures placement reaching 5500+ job offers. The highest package was 60LPA and the average goes between 5LPA. The university has a dedicated placement cell and also an well developed student led e-cell. There are many internship opportunities as well both India and abroad.
Galgotias University has a very strong placement cell and more then 200 companies like Infosys, josh technology, Capgemini and many more have made given the placement offer to students and highest package is of 60 LPA
The placement are nice, this year the Highest package was of 60 Lakh and the Average package was of 5.4 Lakh. There are a lot of internships oppourtinity also so you get to experience Industry work during you 3rd year which gives you a heads up.
Our course provides internship for every student from the first year onwards as it is mandatory for everyone to do an internship from the 1st year , it also provides best placement for student who wanted to go in corporate filed ,the Highest package till now is 8lpa and lowest is 3.6 lpa and Average package is between 4 to 6 lpa
B.Tech computer Science engineering is very tech driven field which , by the assistance of new tech driven laboratories, latest generation technology focused curriculum, is very remarkable field to study and progress in.
Placements and job opportunities at Galgotias university are good. Students become eligible according to their course requirements and academic performance. Many healthcare companies and hospitals visit for placements and internships. After completing B.Sc Nursing, my plan is to work in a good hospital, gain experience and grow in the healthcare field.
