Fun at Amity?

- I like that we get to indulge ourselves in club activities, I am in the dramatic society called Ek Awaaz, that is my chosen family, we get to learn so many new things, we get to meet a lot of new people and we eventually end up teaching each other valuable lessons without even realising it.
- I like the campus at night, it just gets so quiet and calming. Often when I get stressed I tend to go out for a walk on my own, there are so many kids in campus I talk to random people, pet the dogs that are there, drink a cup of tea in the breeze and sit with my thoughts.
Dislikes
- I don't like it when we are with friends of the opposite gender; some marshals give us the side eye. I mean, I get it; they do that for our own safety, but I hope they someday understand that not everyone wants to make out.
- Some classmates will be insufferable. The best advice one can give you is to make friends wisely. Not everyone wants the best for you.
Remarks :
The main reason I ended up choosing Amity University Gurugram was that not a lot of universities were offering Bachelor's of Science in Clinical Psychology. No, I did not have to face any group discussions or written tests for admission; however, I did have a one-on-one conversation with the admissions in charge. There's not much to worry about for the admission process, the people are nice, and it ends up being a fun experience.
Course Curriculum Overview :
If you end up attending this University for Clinical Psychology, make sure to be on the faculties good side. Other than that, the course curriculum is nice; we get to learn a lot of new things per semester. The reason I ended up choosing this course was because, I often found myself being the safe place for most of my peers, and I like to listen, analyze and help people solve or comprehend the problem they might be having at the moment, so I thought that was interesting and maybe I could help more people, people who are strangers to me. Most of out professors are PhDs, all of them have a unique approach when it comes to teaching styles, some of them like to perform experiments, for example for social psychology we did a social experiment all over the campus, some of them like to teach the ancient way and most of them like to have a proper discussion with the entire class rather than teach so that we learn from each other.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, I have done a total of 3 internships for a month each. The internships I did were under an NGO, clinical psychologists, and psychiatrists. The internships were not paid. One of the internships was back in Nagaland. I had an amazing experience under the psychiatrist and got to learn a lot of new and interesting problems that the patients were facing, the truth in their voices as to how desperately they wanted to be done with their addiction.
Placement Experience :
A lot of companies came for the placement drive, including companies like Swiggy. The students need to be in their final year to apply for the job opportunities; no specific requirements for UG students. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the average is 4 LPA. I might end up sitting for more interviews, take a gap year or go abroad after getting my degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The admission fee for BSc in Clinical Psychology is 80,000. The students of BSc Clinical Psychology need to pay a semester fee of almost Rs. 65,000 per semester. Per year, an average student is to pay a total sum of approximately Rs. 1,30,000. In the case of an overachieving student, on account of 100% scholarships, the student will have to pay a total sum of Rs. 10,000 per year. Scholarships are merit-based, and the categories are 100%, 90%, and 80%. The students get a certain discount for each category of scholarship. If the student chooses to live in the campus hostel, the hostel fee per year goes up to Rs. 1,20,000 for air-conditioned hostel rooms and Rs. 80,000 for non-airconditioned rooms. If the student chooses the university transport (bus), there are different routes, and the prices differ for every route. For example, the route from Gurugram to the university is Rs. 55,000.
Campus Life :
Campus life is interesting. The fest at Amity Univeristy is called Amifest, it is generally held in February. A new fest was introduced during my 5th semester called the Autmn Fest. It was held in late September to early October. Almost all sorts of books are available in the library. The classrooms are always well-lit, have a lot of fans, and are properly air-conditioned. The annual sports competition, called Sangathan, is held every September. It is an inter-Amity competition. We have a proper tennis court, an indoor badminton court, a basketball court, a football ground, a volleyball court, and a proper cricket pitch. There are a lot of clubs in the university. There are music societies, dance crews, social welfare clubs, dramatic societies, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is fun, but make sure you have good company and you are good to be around. There are about 10 outlets on the campus that one can eat from, the food has improved a lot. Almost all the outlets provide a monthly subscription; all a student has to do is talk to the incharge of that particular outlet. I now rent an apartment about 30 minutes away from the university, but if a student wants to live near the university, there are a lot of PGs in the locality, safe for both males and females.

The Career Development Centre (CDC) plays an important role in preparing students for internships and future placements. The CDC conducts career guidance sessions, skill development workshops, resume-building activities, aptitude training, and interview preparation programs to improve students' employability. One initiative that I personally found beneficial was the Internship Fair organized by the university. It provided students with an opportunity to interact with different organizations and apply for summer internships, helping us gain practical industry exposure before entering the final placement season. KRMU provides placement assistance through its Training and placement cell, which conducts aptitude training, mock interview, resume building sessions and skill development session to improve students employability. Student become eligible for campus placement in the final year subject meeting the criteria of the individual company. Eligible criteria include maintaining the CGPA, having limited or no active backlog, and fulfilling company specific criteria.
A Growing University with Good Facilities and Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements are decent for skilled students with eligibility usually starting in the final year . Companies like TCS , Infosys ,BHEL visit the campus . The average package is around 4-6b LPA . After completing my B-tech degree , I plan to pursue a career in software development

Aroun 6.5-8 cgpa should be maintained to avail for placement. No backlogs. Respect teachers. Fee visited recruiters were ICICI ey pwc etc highest packaging where I heard about was 56LPA and average was around 9-12LPA.

Curriculum was very much reasonable and it was very much easy to understand it also had division of management studies and computer studies which made it very much easier for me to understand the faculty was amazing and very helpful

Currently i am perusing my PhD so not applicable for me and the placements i have seen is very impression companies are good like tcs, bain, lumenci, proedge and average package offered is 12 lpa. so i hope to get a good chance for myself and get a very good placement looking forward for the beat chance
