I got this course through my jee mains rank and I didn't have to give any interview or exam but some students who didn't score good in jee have to take councilling. My university is all over good like good infrastructure, good staff, also it is big university mainly it was close to my home so I took admission in it. Cut off is decided according to the score students scored so it is not fixed.
Chemical Engineering is not a very common cource and also it is a government university so I took this course. Almost all the faculty teachers were professors or assistant professors only a few were visiting faculty and PhD students. All of the faculty were experienced and though good. There are 2 sessional exams before semester exams. There sessional exams contribute in the 7.5 marks out of 25 marks of internal and the rest is practical, assignments and a quiz and ther 75 marks semester exams. Difficulty level depends on students, teacher teach almost everything which comes in exams, allover I would say it is medium
Currently I am in my final year and doing a 6 months internship in Khd hambolt wedge in new delhi. In last semester every student has to do an internship which don't get can go to university and give 3 exams and 2 practicals. Stipends companies give is between 11k to 25k. In 7 semester we have to submit a project and also give a presentation and after completing of every year 1 month internship is mandatory and a report file and presentation has to be given by every student.
Placements are good like company's come and take students but again it is upto students like how much they know about the cource, there are WhatsApp groups where teachers always sends company interview dates and also tpc cell always sends mails of companys. Eligibility is 60% + marks but all students sits in the interview like who even have 10 backlogs. TCS, wipro, Sector life, BHD, KnackTech, jindel steels, and many more. Highest package is I guess 40lpa and average package is around 2.5 lpa
Total fee of my course which is off 4 years, I paid Rs.1,80,600. Even semester fee is 35,400 and odd semester fee is 9,750 and there is no other charges expect the late fee charge which is maximum 1500. There is also scholarship for sc, st and OBC in which their whole fee is returned. Also students who comes 1st, 2nd and 3rd in semester exams gets somewhere around 1000 to 2000 rupees. In Financial aid students doesn't have to pay any fees if reason is genuine. Also the fee for reappear in exam is 1750 per semester and 500 for revaluation.
Campus is good. Every year rythem(a cultural fest), technova(a technical fest), and also some 3-4 small fests. Library is of 2 stores and all semester books(multiple), magazines, newspapers, journals and almost 55000 books are there, also dcrust have an online library too. In classroom there are smart touch screen screens size of white board and classrooms have a capacity of over 100 students, fans, air conditioners, lights, windows. There is a basketball court, tennis hall, gym, indoor games, ground big enough to play like anything circket, football, etc. Also every year sports competitions are held. There are 11-12 social clubs for dance, singing, tech, like any you want to do. These groups also hosts functions once a year. Also students run instagram pages abouts news, confusions, activities, etc. There is also a complex withs fruit and juice shops, barber, bank, cyber cafe, fast food shops, stationery and also an amul outlet.
I didn't opted for hostel but the food was average, infrastructure for average, the process to apply for hostel was just to go and take the room after submitting some documents like adhar card pan card, admission slip. Hostel fee was around 4000 and around 2000 for food, also you couldn't bring any electronic appliances but students used to keep iron, induction etc. Pgs around dcrust were a bit expensive like around 7k-8k and flats are around 11k for 2bhk.
The Career Development Centre (CDC) plays an important role in preparing students for internships and future placements. The CDC conducts career guidance sessions, skill development workshops, resume-building activities, aptitude training, and interview preparation programs to improve students' employability. One initiative that I personally found beneficial was the Internship Fair organized by the university. It provided students with an opportunity to interact with different organizations and apply for summer internships, helping us gain practical industry exposure before entering the final placement season. Such initiatives allow students to build professional experience and develop workplace skills at an early stage.
The employability is very good and placements are also very good trainers and campus placement cell is highly supportive and companies are arrives regularly on every year basis and growth prospects are very good for the students
All the Management persons and all Faculties and Heads and Working persons , even the Housekeeping and our Seniors all are very cooperative and helping and have a humble and polite nature. And I really appreciate them all and very thankful to all of them.
KRMU provides placement assistance through its Training and placement cell, which conducts aptitude training, mock interview, resume building sessions and skill development session to improve students employability. Student become eligible for campus placement in the final year subject meeting the criteria of the individual company. Eligible criteria include maintaining the CGPA, having limited or no active backlog, and fulfilling company specific criteria.
Placements are decent for skilled students with eligibility usually starting in the final year . Companies like TCS , Infosys ,BHEL visit the campus . The average package is around 4-6b LPA . After completing my B-tech degree , I plan to pursue a career in software development
Aroun 6.5-8 cgpa should be maintained to avail for placement. No backlogs. Respect teachers. Fee visited recruiters were ICICI ey pwc etc highest packaging where I heard about was 56LPA and average was around 9-12LPA.
Curriculum was very much reasonable and it was very much easy to understand it also had division of management studies and computer studies which made it very much easier for me to understand the faculty was amazing and very helpful
There is no certain eligibility criteria depends on the company and Many company comes all every year. Layi Blinkit, Zomato et cetera et cetera Also, there are separate departments for placement like CDC department
Currently i am perusing my PhD so not applicable for me and the placements i have seen is very impression companies are good like tcs, bain, lumenci, proedge and average package offered is 12 lpa. so i hope to get a good chance for myself and get a very good placement looking forward for the beat chance
