Should you opt for BHU South campus
Likes
- Campus location is peaceful. No pollution. Greenery everywhere. No traffic and all. I personally like this factor and many students also does. There are waterfalls nearby and the campus is located at hilly areas.
- You get BHU tag in your Academics as this campus is the part of BHU. Which is one of the prestigious Universities of India. Many students opt for this campus just because you get BHU's official degree without any college mentioned.
Dislikes
- Some faculties are good but some faculties doesn't even know how to teach. We manage our studies on our own. I wouldn't mention that you should for this campus for getting quality of education but you get BHU tag in your Academics
- Opportunities in this campus are quite less than the Main campus. If you get Main campus then definitely opt for that. Main campus is 100 times better than this campus. But you are not getting that campus then the south campus is the only good option for you
Remarks :
I had written CUET UG exam. And then got selected for this course by the cutoff list directly. You just have to prepare for General section. I had studied from YouTube and qualifying for this course is not that tough
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is an undergraduate program of 3 years including 6 semesters. Each semester has learnings of Hospitality & Tourism Industry. Semester 4 has Internship of 6 months. Academics is quite easy and some faculties are good but some faculties are not really upto the mark I'd say.
Internships Opportunities :
I had opted for internship in my 4th sem by myself. I did my internship in tourism industry and the experience was great. College provides internship opportunities as well. I had gone through two rounds which were telephonic and personal interview. The period of internship was of 6 months.
Placement Experience :
As our course is professional so the we can get jobs quite easily (you have to be skilled). College provide placements which are not that great. You can get good placements on your own and get good package.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
So the per semester fee of this program is 13-14000 per semester (depends on the semester). Hostel fee is 6-7000 per year. Mess charges are 4500 per month. The fee structure is quite affordable than any other universities
Campus Life :
Campus is located in the outskirts of Mirzapur. The location is quite strange and quite peaceful. The location is very subjective. Some will like this as the place is peaceful and some wouldn't. There are no as such cafes and restaurants nearby.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is quite nice. They provide room for double sharing with cupboards, fans and two tables and two chairs. The mess food isn't that bad. You get 3 meals per day. The hostel fee is affordable which is 6-7000 per year. The mess fee is 4500 per month.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
