- I do like the Atmosphere of the college. Quite suitable for someone like me who usually don't like to be in a crowded place.
- The faculty are super nice. Whether it's The quality of a teacher or a person.
Dislikes
- I don't like the fact that it is a vegitarian college.
- The language barrier is a big problem for outer students like me
Remarks :
I am from nagaland and all the higher ups from electrical department came from GCE college which led me to join GCE salem. As for students like me who came from outer states we need to reach certain JEE cutoffs or ranking.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As I grew up I was very fond and curious about electricity. It's was just electrifying for me. As for me the faculty are super nice and very qualified in terms of quality of teaching. They kinda of provide personal tutoring and self study methods for students. I hate to say it but the terms exam were always in time and difficulty was kind of challenging.
Internships Opportunities :
I have yet to go the intership so I don't know that much but My seniors should have interned with companies like TCS, Zoho etc. Task may include coding, testing, data analysis, research and collaborating with teams to deliver projects.
Placement Experience :
In 2023, 63.62% were placed in job placement with a total of 280+ students securing job. The highest package is about 15 LPA and the average should be around 13 LPA One of the top recruiters were TCS, Zoho, Hyundai etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
We pay for admission i.e about 6750 per semester. It doesn't include exam fees(which is about 150 per paper). As for the scholarship, since I belong to the other states so I'm not that sure but Girls apply for pragathi
Campus Life :
Campus Life in GCE Salem can be quite boring compared to other colleges. For instance like it solely focus on academics. Even though we do have each department fest like EEE Fest or Civil Fest. But it's all educational activities. So yah we don't have a program or events that is related to music,dance etc except for Newcomers ceremonies.
Hostel Facilities :
Personally I don't like the foods in the hostel as it is vegitarian college. For someone like me who is a heavy non veg person. I don't like it. But the environment is extremely favourable to students who like to study. It is a quiet place.

Placements are given in high reputed companies, even companies like Microsoft, IOS, intel are also collaborated with the college. And for animation they provide placement in" Toonz Animation, Techno park, Thiruvananthapuram.

Not bad placement trainings and good faculty members to train for placements . Good companies with good packages come for placement drives who select the best of all and give placements for them. Good placements.

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.
ITS VALUE FOR MONEY
Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The faculty of this college is good there are strick and the curriculum are good and every one in the college will face 2 test before the main exam internal test one and internal test 2 are the two test and practical will be taken place a side
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college

College providers many placement to the students if you know arrears we should we have eligible to the placement and highest packages 21 lakh per annum and the average packages 9.5 lakhs per annum the minimum package is 4 lakhs per annum
