- College is well equipped with libraries, smart rooms, computers, accommodating air conditioned classrooms, well maintained washrooms and rest area, infirmary in case of emergency and staff rooms. Various labs for different disciplines are present with good machineries and adequate space for practice. Good staff is recruited for maintainence of cleanliness. There is main office which attends to queries and requirements of students and staff alike. There is a cafeteria present in the campus that provides variety of food options in an affordable range. There are auditoriums and conference halls for arrangement of big events. An international conference called physiofest is arranged for students where both national and international speakers come to give lectures and arranges workshops.
- There is a well established transport facility in our college where more than 35 buses takes different routes from across rajkot and morbi to bring students to campus and safely take them back home. We pay rs 25000 per semester for the bus service. Our queries are Duly noted and our requests are acted upon as soon as possible. Our faculty is very humble and friendly towards the students and makes sure we get whatever assistance is required. They are well educated and proficient in their domains. They do have clinical experience as well and some are even already in process of pursuing their PhD degree. They guide us in our own research. There is also a subject called research and statistics during our bachelors that is only present in masters degree in other colleges.
Dislikes
- I think mess food can take some improvement. Most Faculties are really good but there is need for more experienced and dedicated Faculty. There is requirement to ensure more hygiene and cleanliness in campus.
- There must be regular clinical postings alloted for students to come in touch with latest trends and methods used in real life settings. It is also required to improve their doctor Patient interaction skills and also sharpen their social and communication skills in hospital settings. In this way they would be able to make real contacts and develop hands on skill which is essential in this professional.
Remarks :
The faculty is very supportive and guides us on both personal and academic level. They are all well educated and very proficient in their domains. There is presence of well equipped labs like musculoskeletal, neurology, cardiopulmonary, kinesiology, anatomy and physiology labs. Presence of libraries with variety of books on different subjects. Presence of air conditioned classrooms with adequate capacity. There could be some improvement in maintaininece of hygiene. Also it is important that there is more practical approach in teaching and clinical postings become a part of regular curriculum. There is requirement of 50% aggregate marks in 12th science in pcb. Neet UG marks are considered for admission but it is not mandatory.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the Physiotherapy field not out of choice but as the next best option. But soon I realized I do not regret it at all. It is actually one of the best decisions I have ever made. The manual approach for healing patients and personally able to play a role in their recovery gives a satisfaction like no other. I get to connect with them on a personal level, which is so great. The minimum requirement to secure a job as an assistant professor is a masters degree in physiotherapy. The teaching methods include blackboard, ppts on smart boards, interactive practical sessions and story play to present the customized protocol for a specific condition. Exams consist of CIE 1 and CIE 2 within each semester. The marking system of CIE 1 is based on assignments and CIE 2 consists of written and practical exams of 20 marks and 50 marks respectively. It is followed by semester end exams in similar context of 100 marks. Difficulty level is average.
Internships Opportunities :
Students can do internships among any multispeciality hospitals and clinics who has MoU signed with our college. There are over 50 such places. It is of 6 months with 8 weeks alloted for both orthopaedics and neurological sciences, 6 weeks in cardiopulmonary science and 4 weeks in community health and rehabilitation. We begin as interns and have to allot 6 hours per day. We see patients with different diagnosis and are assigned to assess them and form their protocol and give them therapy.
Placement Experience :
In medical fields there are no placements. Rku school of physiotherapy has MoU signed with more than 50 clinics and hospitals across rajkot morbi and jamnagar for internships. It has its own in campus opd and other opd in main city area which are always open for students to practice. Jobs are a matter of personal skill and discipline. There have been students who have acquired jobs based on their performance in internships. Also participation in various academic events, presenting your researches or showcasing exceptional talents across other creative fields, active participation in national and international conferences increases the chances of securing a good job. Initial starting salary of freshers can range anywhere from rs 5000 to rs 30000 per month But it can be scale up with experience. I do plan to opt for masters degree in physiotherapy in orthopaedics in my college itself. It is a great platform for pursuing higher studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee is to be paid semester wise including Rs. 42,500/- of tuition fees and Rs. 2,500/- of exam fees which makes total of Rs. 80,000/- per year. Students can get themselves registered for scholarship provided for special category students like SC/ST and EWS. There is also a scholarship under MYSY for annual family income less than 60,000 rs. Other than that, KS Patel scholarship is available for relieving patients out of their financial burden. These scholarships provide relaxation of around Rs. 25,000/- and some cost deductions in hostel and mess facilities.
Campus Life :
We do have an annual college fest which spans across a week with cultural and sports galore in february to celebrate the foundation day of our college. Various sports tournaments and dance, singing an art competitions are arranged. Debates are organized. Books on various disciplines are available in the library alongwith magazines and journals like physioforum describing latest researches and discoveries done by students of RKU. There are special playgrounds alloted for sports like cricket, basketball, volleyball and badminton. There are student clubs like sports clubs, dance and music, art and literature clubs which conducts frequent events for students to engage and showcase their talents. I am the part of literature club and have performed poetry before my audience. It is great and ensures all round development for students. Academic clubs like knee and parkinsonism club arrange visits for treating patients and also conducts research on the same.
Hostel Facilities :
I have not opted for hostel but based on the review of my peers it provides good accommodation for girls and boys in separate buildings. There are more 4 buildings with capacity of more than 2500 students. Furnished rooms and laundry service are available. Indoor and outdoor sport facilities available for hostel students. Wi-Fi is available but there are connection problems occasionally. 4 different mess halls with accommodation of more than 500 students are there. 4 times a day provides good food, however food quality could use some improvement. Hostel charges are Rs. 55,000/- per year for non-AC rooms and Rs. 65,000/- per year for AC rooms with mess fees included in overall sum. Hostel rules revolve around anti ragging policies, cleanliness, attendance required for in and out movement in hostels and prohibition of electronic appliances in rooms. Girls hostels requires special permission for any movement after 8 PM. There are pgs within 3km radius from Main campus.

Average CGPA should be more than 8. Packages providing will be approx 1.5-3.0 LPA. The placement is about 90%. The packages provided are good and satisfactory. After completing this bachelor's degree I would go for masters degree.

No placements are there . The aveeagw placement in the market is about 1.5 to 4.5 lakhs .As compared to the different field the packages for the freshers are very low . But the faculties based on their refrences they give the opportunity.
