Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Remarks :
The main thing that attracted me towards this college was their curriculum. They have an excellent curriculum that involves practical learning as well rather than just bookish knowledge. The admission process involves PI round followed by WAT (Written Aptitude Test), the final selection is made on the basis of your performance in both these rounds and entrance examinations. To prepare for the interview, one needs to have an brief knowledge of general knowledge and current affairs along with your domain knowledge.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The main reason for choosing this course is it's industry alignment. The faculty here is well qualified and their teaching methodology is really good. They are very supportive and have a practical approach. Exams here are conducted on quarterly basis, and the internal examinations/ quizzes are taken weekly. The difficulty ranges from medium to hard level.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, I'm currently interning in the PR department of the college, the stipend for the same is 13000 Rs. Some other companies that came in for internship opportunities are Ultratech cement, Pantaloons, Zara, CK, Aditya Birla Capital, etc.
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I paid 50000 as an admission fees, after my selection to reserve my seat. Apart from that my fees semester wise is around 215000, and other expenses include uniform and library charges which comes up to approximately 50000. My batchmates are also paying similar fees the only difference is the certification courses like SAP and SAS. They have various scholarship programs on various criteria like- merit based, domicile, defence, etc.
Campus Life :
The campus life is really vibrant, they keep on conducting various events . Their main annual event is Genesis and it is conducted annually, it's a three day long event that involves various competitions like dance , singing, debates, fashion shows, etc. Here we have over 22 clubs that are run by students themselves so thay keep on organising various cultural , public speaking, sports , dance, and singing competitions.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes I have opted for hostel. The food quality is decent and menu changes daily and students can also change the menu as per their liking. To register for hostels, you just have to fill a google form that is given after the admission process is done. There are a lot of PGs and rooms available around the campus but I would personally prefer living in hostels due to facilities provided here like security, laundry, iron, induction, water cooler, etc.
