I chose this college because i have visited dehradun a few times before and loved the place alot. I applied for all the colleges in Dehradun and felt like DBS is the best choice among them. I had to give interview through online meeting where i was asked few questions regarding management like principles of management, etc.
I personally felt like the curricullum and academics that i've faced so far have been good. Sure there are some subjects i dont understand but its more of a personal issue then the issue with curriculum itself. Faculty is one thing i'd like to highlight as so far in my 2 years of graduation I've faced some of the best faculty in my entire life. They are caring, understanding, approachable, educated and most of all pretty young so there's not much age gap as well and most of the time its like talking to elder brother or sister.
I did my internship here at DBS itself in allumni office where i had to deal with data entry and automation. I received a stipend of 13K per month. It was an enlightening experience. My friends also got internship through dbs itself.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
We have to pay 1 Lakh per semester of tuition fees before the start of semester. We pay this through Camu. There are options like scholarships and domicile discounts for local people to study here. My local friend here gets around 30-40% discount through domicile.
Many fest and events happen regularly but one that i'd like to highlight is manfest which is an annual event of DBS. We make our own brands and launch those brands as well plus we are engaged in bunch of tournaments and events along the way that ends with a big concert. Books are available in two libraries inside campus where we can find books of all types. Many sports event also happen here like basketball, football, cricket, badminton tournaments.
Food is surprisingly good but there are stuff like rajma chawal that i am not very fond of. I also like that we get non veg options 4 times a week. I opted of hostel while registering for college itself where i was asked about the type of room i want, balcony, etc.
