Remarks :
Honestly I didn't pick NIAT on the first day itself. I spent a lot of time comparing different colleges, reading reviews, talking to seniors and trying to figure out which place would be better for me. In the end I chose NIAT because I liked that the focus wasn't only on classroom learning. The coding practice, projects, internships and career support felt like something that would actually help me in the long run. The NAT scholarship was another big plus because it made the fees easier to manage.
Course Curriculum Overview :
One thing I noticed after joining is that the classes don't feel the same every day. Some days are regular lectures, while on others we are working on coding problems, assignments, or small projects. That change keeps things interesting, and I feel like I am learning by doing instead of just taking notes.
Internships Opportunities :
I opted for an internship during my course and it was a great learning experience. The college regularly shares internship opportunities and encourages students to apply early instead of waiting until the final year. We also get guidance with resumes and interview preparation before applying. During my internship I worked on real tasks, learned how to work in a team and got a better understanding of how things work in a professional environment. It gave me practical experience and helped me become more confident about my skills
Placement Experience :
From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The first time I saw the fee, I was a little shocked. But after speaking to the admission team and understanding how the scholarship works, I realised the published fee isn't the final amount for everyone. The standard BTech tuition fee is around 4lakh per year, plus a one time registration fee of 1200. The important part is the NAT scholarship. Your NAT score decides how much scholarship you receive, which means two students in the same class may end up paying different fees. So if you are considering NIAT, don't decide after seeing only the fee structure. Check what scholarship you are eligible for first, that's the number that actually matters when you are making your decision
Campus Life :
Some of my favourite memories till now are just sitting with friends in the cafeteria, spending time in the common areas, or studying together in the library before exams. Those small moments end up becoming the best part of the day. The campus has a friendly vibe so it's easy to make friends and get involved in different activities. There are workshops, clubs, and events happening from time to time so it never feels like it's only about academics. It feels like a place where you can learn, relax and enjoy college life at the same time.
Hostel Facilities :
I was a bit worried about the hostel life before joining but it turned out to be much better than I expected. The rooms are comfortable, and after a few weeks it started feeling like home because you are surrounded by friends all the time. It's also really convenient since the classrooms, library, gym, cafe are all just a short walk away. The mess food is decent for everyday meals. It's simply hygienic and the menu changes regularly so you get some variety during the week. And on days when we want a break from mess food, the campus cafe is usually where everyone ends up hanging out together

Generally, students with no active backlogs and a minimum academic percentage as specified by the recruiting company are eligible to participate in campus placements. A few recruiters visit the college for hiring, mainly for entry-level roles in software, IT support, and core engineering domains. However, the number of offers is limited, and only around 40–50% of students secure campus placements. The average salary package offered ranges from ?3–4 LPA, while the highest package varies depending on the company and the student's performance. The college also encourages students to apply for paid internships, which help them gain practical industry experience and improve their technical skills

But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities

I feel the support is there throughout the journey, the more effort you put in, the more you can benefit from these opportunities.

I feel the college is more focused on making students job ready than waiting until the final year. If you stay consistent with your coding, projects and overall skills, you will be in a much better position when placement season starts. Overall I think the college provides good support, but students also need to put in their own effort.

Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.

One important thing I like about the course is that it isn't only about reading books and writing exams. We get to practice what we learn through coding, assignments, and small projects, which makes the subject easier to understand. The syllabus also covers topics that are useful for todays tech industry. The faculty is friendly and easy to talk to. They explain concepts in a simple way, clear doubts without any hesitation, and we are already ready to help if someone is struggling.
