I choose this college mainly because it is a government college, fees are very low and it has good faculty. The admission is through CAP round after 10th based on 10th percentage. There was no GD, interview or written test for admission. Students have to register on the official MSBTE portal and apply for CAP rounds. The good thing is low fees, supportive faculty and practical learning. The bad thing is lectures are not regular and students have to do self study. I did not need any special preparation for admission, I just focused on my 10th percentage and completed the CAP registration process.
The course curriculum is good and covers important technical subjects. I choose IT because I was interested in computers and technology. It provides basic practical knowledge through lab work and projects, which is helpful for further studies. It can be improved by adding more latest technologies and practical learning. There are 2 unit tests in each semester followed by the final end sem exam. Exams are mostly moderate in difficulty.
Yes, I opted for an internship. The college provides internship opportunities through tie-ups with companies and startups. A 3-month internship is compulsory for IT students. I personally completed my internship at Concept Simplified in the IT department, where I worked on IT and project-related tasks and gained practical knowledge. The stipend was around 10k.
The college does not provide campus placement, but faculty regularly share job updates and inform students about openings. They also guide and support students for applying to jobs. After diploma, I plan to complete my degree in IT and then get a job in the IT field
It is a government college so the fees are not too much. Total fees for General was around 11 thousand, OBC 6 thousand and SC/ST 3 thousand, including exam fees, library and other fees. There is also MahaDBT scholarship for caste students, but college dont provide any scholarship by itself.
Campus life is good but the infrastructure is quite old and needs improvement. The college celebrates different festivals and conducts technical events like hackathons, coding and web designing competitions. The library is good but has limited books and journals. Classrooms have basic facilities with blackboards, but there are no digital boards for PPT and digital learning. Sports tournaments are arranged every year. There are not many clubs or student-run groups in the college.
There was a hostel facility earlier, but after COVID the hostel building became too old and was damaged, so currently there is no hostel facility for college students. Students who come from far places have to stay in rented rooms or houses nearby. Currently, construction of a new hostel building has started
