My personal experience about Rama University, Kanpur
Likes
- No ragging campus and graduation at a very reasonable prices.
- Cafes are very good and also fests conducted are very awesome.
Dislikes
- Placements are very poor as you can hardly get a job of 2-3 lakh ctc.
- Infrastructure is pretty average and also faculty and teachers are not that much experienced.
Remarks :
Basis on my personal experience University offers you two ways of admission - first you can contact them online and take admission online easily and other way is by directly going to University. There is no enterence exam conducted.
Course Curriculum Overview :
When it comes about academics and faculty, i am very disappointed with the teaching way of the faculty. Sometimes they can't even provide a proper expert teacher for the semester subjects and the H.O.D or Dean himself fulfills the requirement of faculties. Talking about the scholarship and fees , University offers a flat discount on the tuition fees basis on your 12th percentage and also there are ways to get scholarship from the state government.
Internships Opportunities :
So there are many internships you can grab by yourself on the basis of your skills .There is no role of the university in getting you internships. I personally recommend you to work upon your skills if you are going to take admission in this college and grab internships by yourself. I have completed a number of projects using web development and programming languages. Some of them are- portfolio using web development and tic tac toe using c++ and many other projects.
Placement Experience :
Coming to the on-campus placements , i can openly say it is very hard to get on-campus placements as not a single well known companies comes for the placement drive . So it is a very bad college on the basis of campus placements
Campus Life :
University conducts sports fest annually and also they organises a number of cultural fests . On every festival like holi ,diwali and basant panchami, University organises different fests. I am very much dissatisfied with the campus life as the infrastructure of the university is very poor and out of date . A lot of politics is going through in each and every department and also students doesn't respects faculties of other courses.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
