As this college was in my homestate so I figured it would be better to study a top branch in this NIT as compared to non circuital branches in other NITs. The other thing was that the placements stats were very good for the previous years so I thought it would be a great choice career wise and ofcourse the cutoff rank was also very less due to me being eligible for the state quota.
The course curriculum is more or less similar to other engineering colleges in the country with more focus on the theoretical aspects of the subjects rather than the practical ones. We started our course from home due to the Pandemic and hence missed out on some of the hands on lab subjects in the initial semesters which would have added great value to our learning set but now that everything has gone back to normal the next batch of students can expect to get some really good practical knowledge in the initial semesters. The faculty is pretty good with most of them having done their Mtech and Phds from tier 1 colleges. They are very cooperative wrt doubt solving and clearing concepts. There are two exams in a semester: Mid-Sem and End-Sem exams and other than that there are quiz, class test and class assignments which altogether add upto 100 marks based on which the students are awarded grades. The difficulty of exam is moderate and you can easily clear it if you study a week before.
The college itself does not offer any internships but it arranges drives for multiple companies. I did not sit for the internship drive so I opted to do an online internship on web development to strengthen my CV.
Placement is quite good for circuital branches and decent for non circuital branches. Most of the companies come for IT roles and a few come for Analyst roles but only a handful come for Core roles. The placement season starts in August and goes upto March. Many big companies like Google, Amazon, Infosys, PhonePe, Trilogy, etc visit the campus and the package offered is also quite good. The average package is about 7 lakhs and the highest can go upto 50 lakhs. The internship drives are conducted simultaneously and the stipend varies from 20000 to 80000. Many students opt out of placement to prepare for GATE due to the non availability of core company jobs.
If you are a very social person then this college is suited for you because it is home to multiple clubs serving a variety of interest. There is a literary club, a singing club, dancing club, robotics club, photography club, graphic designing club and many more. There is a dedicated building for hosting club activities so students can easily manage their extra curricular activities along with their academics. There are mainly two fests conducted annually: The cultural fest Moksha and the tech fest Aayam. Apart from them there are many cultural programs arranged throughout the year. There are two hostels for boys and one hostel for girls. The boys are allotted the older Aryabhatta hostel in 2nd and 4th years and the newer RnT hostel in 1st and 3rd years. The hostel rooms are double accomodation for upto 2nd year and single for 3rd year onwards. The mess food quality is decent and food is served 3 times a day. The hostel and mess fees per semester is approx 32000.
Course is according to the UGC guidelines and faculties are also very well renowned and qualified they are very helpful and always keep on updating us with newer sports science concepts everyday and they also are very well sports trainer so if anyone wants to learn new and different sports apart from their specialization they can learn the other sports too
The eligibility criteria for good placement is you have to score more than 7.5 cgpa, the visited recruiters are high, the highest package offered is 15 lpa, and average package is 5 lpa, the percentage of students getting placed in this course is 95%, my plans after getting the degree is to become a judge
The eligibilty for sitting ain placement and internships are different for different organisation. but in brief you can say you must have to have a cgpa of 7.5 and must not have any back logs as many company wont allow students with backlogs. almost 90% of eligible students get placed.
Syllabus is still based on those old curriculum like who studies engineering drawing on paper ,this needs to be improvised . Faculties are quite good especially other state faculties. Fees is quite decent, you also get fee waiver depending on your financial situation.
Students of 3 rd and final year are allowed to sit in placement and interview round. Highest package be like of cse around 58 lakh Average 12 lakh 80 percentage of student almost get placed . I will move towards tech field after getting my degree.
Placement stats of my college is also very good. It's starts from 4th year. The highest package offer here was 62 lpa last year from cse department. The average package of my college is 12lpa. More tha 85 percent of students are placed every year. Most reputed organization like tata , oracle, phonepay, nokia came in my college for placement.
Placement are quite here the average package of cse is 15.3 and you have to maintain good academic record for placement , around 600 offers were made last year ,also overall placement percent of college in b tech is 77 percent
As for now I am 1st year student and I literally don't have any idea about the placement thing but I asked the seniors about this thing and the answer is very negative, After completing course like B-TECH they hardly get a placement offer of 1.5 to 2 lakh peranm. Think about BCA now
In this course most of the students opt for higher studies. From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. There are so many companies visiting here like Google , Indian oil , IBM , Tata etc. But they mostly focus Btech Students. I am interested to do Phd after completing this course.
Internship is not so good but the placement here is very much satisfying It is worth joining this college if your are looking for placement even in low range jee main score around 91 to 98 You get to improve yourself with the help of seniors and friends
