Remarks :
Presidency University is a very well known University in Kolkata,with great faculty members, excellent departments,both for bachelors and masters degree. One can also complete his/her PhD degree from here. One have to attend Presidency University Bachelors Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET) for bachelors degree admission. The syllabus of 11th & 12th standard is the syllabus for PUBDET exam,which is not so tough but the cut off is much high so, a great performance in entrance exam is totally required.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Geology department of Presidency University is known as its best department for many aspects. The faculty members are great and course structure is too good. Regular classes are held to complete the syllabus. With advance laboratories, practical and project works are done great. Geology department is also greatly known for its dominance in sports. The fees structure is much affordable for everyone and there are many scholarships,provided from government and the university itself provides many scholarships.
Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are there. Although it varies department wise. But overall placement structure is good. Maximum students of science departments,plan for higher education but some also works for job placement.
Campus Life :
Many events are held in our campus like ICON,ISPAT, MILIEU etc. These are some major events,many small events are also there. For students who came from distance, Hostel facility is also available, Eden Hindu Hostel, a 137 years old heritage of College Street.

This college don't offfer placesment cell . Actally academically it is best . You have to choose placement on your own. Academically one of the best college under Calcutta University. If you take admission you will be impressed

Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum of the college really impresses me. It is comprehensive and combines both theory and practical learning in a balanced manner. The course work is demanding but fulfilling, instructors are supportive and erudite. Scholarships available are excellent, they help in offsetting fees which are fairly charged in terms of quality education provided. In general, I feel my experience at the higher institution of learning has been worthwhile.
