Remarks :
I chose this college because of its affordability and the placements of this college were good in comparison to the other colleges that were being offered on a rank of 200,000 in jee mains. The admission is done via the HSTES counseling that happens in August month. There are two counseling rounds and we as students have to choose to get into either of the colleges allotted during those two rounds. I chose the college that was allotted in the second round.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I opted for computer science due to its superior placement prospects compared to other courses in the institute and the industry at large. The 1:60 Faculty ratio is acceptable, though faculty members, while qualified, lack practical industry knowledge. Term exams are timely and manageable. The annual fee of 45,700 rupees, with a recent 1000- rupee hike, is reasonable, including an initial 10,000 rupee payment during the admission process. A 1000 rupee fine is imposed for attendance shortages. State scholarships, such as Pragati Yogna and post-metric scholarships, ease financial burdens. I received 17,000 rupees through the Post Metric Scholarship, despite the theoretical full coverage. Despite some challenges, my overall experience in Computer science has been positive.
Internships Opportunities :
My Internship at Prodigy Infotech was unpaid, lacking a stipend. I worked as a front-end developer, tasked with creating personal and product landing pages. Unfortunately, internship opportunities at the college are scarce, with many companies offering training instead. Notably, IBM visited but only provided training, charging 4000 rupees per head. Their persistent efforts to persuade students of training's benefits seemed more focused on extracting money than genuine student development.
Placement Experience :
The college placements aren't great, but computer science does better than other branches. Previous batches in computer science got around 3-4 lakhs on average. This year, most companies were in sales. In December, companies like Prodigy Infotech, Codestire, Planet Spark, 75-way technologies, and Cloud Analogy made offers to 2 -3 students each, with packages near 3 lakhs but tied to a 2-year bond. Breaking it means fines from 50,000 to 3,00,000 rupees. I'm focusing on improving my full-stack development skills for off-campus placements.
Campus Life :
Life on campus is subpar due to limited exploration options in the underdeveloped surroundings. The nearest places of interest, karnal, and Kurukshetra, are 15 kilometers away. The college's small infrastructure lacks roads and has security concerns. The boy's hostel faces challenges like unclean rooms, limited water supply, and accommodation for only up to the third year of the degree, requiring off-campus arrangements for final year students. Despite drawbacks, the hostel on the positive side is affordable at 12,000 rupees annually. The mess offers budget-friendly but mediocre food at around 2000 rupees a month for three daily meals. Hostel registration prioritizes distant first-year students who live farthest from the institution. I chose to rent a room with friends in Nilokheri's poultry area in my final year.

The Career Development Centre (CDC) plays an important role in preparing students for internships and future placements. The CDC conducts career guidance sessions, skill development workshops, resume-building activities, aptitude training, and interview preparation programs to improve students' employability. One initiative that I personally found beneficial was the Internship Fair organized by the university. It provided students with an opportunity to interact with different organizations and apply for summer internships, helping us gain practical industry exposure before entering the final placement season. Such initiatives allow students to build professional experience and develop workplace skills at an early stage.

KRMU provides placement assistance through its Training and placement cell, which conducts aptitude training, mock interview, resume building sessions and skill development session to improve students employability. Student become eligible for campus placement in the final year subject meeting the criteria of the individual company. Eligible criteria include maintaining the CGPA, having limited or no active backlog, and fulfilling company specific criteria.
A Growing University with Good Facilities and Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements are decent for skilled students with eligibility usually starting in the final year . Companies like TCS , Infosys ,BHEL visit the campus . The average package is around 4-6b LPA . After completing my B-tech degree , I plan to pursue a career in software development

Aroun 6.5-8 cgpa should be maintained to avail for placement. No backlogs. Respect teachers. Fee visited recruiters were ICICI ey pwc etc highest packaging where I heard about was 56LPA and average was around 9-12LPA.
