I completed my inter in pondicherry and I was interested in pursuing EEE so I choosed this college for the branch and in facilities aspect it's good for eee students. This college is in a developing stage by the time I come to 4th year the reputation of the college will increase and there will be more scope for core placements . Coming to cons there not many , one and only problem is its location . It's some 7 km away from the town where you can find small stores , restaurants and 1 theater. The thing I like the most is its situated on the coastal area so you can go to beach by walk . To get into this college 90 percentile plus is enough for state quota people and 95+ for others mine was 95.3 I also got cse but I choosed eee . Preparation is simple just go through ncert thoroughly for phy and chem such a way that you should be able to tell the location of a topic even if I wake you up and ask . Practice the structures in chem and formulas in physics to clear jee mains, you'll make it
Choosing this course is my own intrest and I'm satisfied with what I'm getting here . I got some good profs who are well experienced leaving those common subjects the core faculty is awesome . They help you out in learning things , if you are interested then sky is the limit. We have total 3 exams per semester 2 mids and 1 end sem approx there will be 1 or 1 ½ month gap between each exam . Difficultly level is pretty good if you study well you can score well it's all up to you how you prepare. The fees and all depends on the income of your parents , it's not too high it is affordable and we do have many scholarships and the college is really supportive in helping out with scholarships
I'm a 1st year student so I don't know the particulars about the internships and all but our seniors and enrolled into some internships some of them are paid some are not . But they said that it was useful and worth trying
Eligibility for sitting In placement is that we should not carry backlogs and we have to maintain a decent cg of 7+ some companies do allow even you have backlogs but mostly they don't . In eee we have a good scope of getting palced this time everyone who sat for placements was placed and the highest core package of 12lpa which is actually good. Average was around 7 lpa for core in eee . I'll probably choose upsc career so this placement thing is not my piece of cake . Still our college is good for eee core placements
Clubs are decent we have dance, music , photography, videography, drama, fashion , Telugu, Tamil clubs which are mostly active we do have club fests. College have 2 fest 1 tech fest and 1 cultural fest which are enjoyable. Coming to hostel in 1st year we have ac rooms and from 2nd we have to stay in non AC rooms but they are comfortable. As I said our college is in a developing stage one more hostel is being build where 2nd year students also will get ac rooms . Sports and infra are decent our main academic 5 story building is almost build and will start functioning from next acadic year . We do have a canteen a Lil cafe . Mess provides varities of dishes you the taste is average half of the week it's delicious and the rest we have to adjust .
There is no placement but lot of values are there for this certificate and theres so many job oppertunites are theres in the library field. Not many students aren’t took this course so we can simply get jobs
There have campus placement after completing our course if we are wiling to do so on the affiliated colleges or off campuses of the university. For women also there have colleges at local and national level. Students also prefer to proceed their studies at global level by entering into international universities and other programmes.
The college has its own placement cell .each year almost 400-500 students are getting placed.the well know recruiters are TCS , Accenture,Bounteous , Capgemini etc.the highest package of cur end year is 12LPA.
Placement opportunities are excellent in SMVEC which is an attractive factor to join this college. Internships need to join based on our own intrest. TCS ans CTS is an main recruiting organisations in this college.
Job placement is quite bad in our university if you think to get addmission here you will fight for job . You have to apply directly to the companies. Companies are coming here but they didn't provide placement more than 30% .
The few companies which attended the placement drive were pharmaceuticals and sales companies, which weren't related to the field we pursued. Students attended the placement drive got placed and were able to bag below average packages. The percentage of students who got placed were around 40%. My plans were to go for higher studies. More emphasis could have been placed by the college on the placements and more opportunities could have been provided by the college for the students.
Most of the departments are providing placement for their students. In commerce and management departments Banks are the largest employers. For attending in the placement the concent from Head of department is needed
There are many vast companies coming for the Training and placement centre for placements. There are chances of good scholars to get placements in higher companies. There are job opportunities for the students
Every year students are placed in a week reputed companies like Amazon,Virtusa,TCS, Capgemini, Renault and so on. All the students having eligibility to attend the placements but some of the Top MNC expected 60% eligibility of throughout 10,12 and academic CGPA. So not eligible students also having more placements options to crack it.
